All of the basic Hungarian buildings are now complete! They where very much a learning experience for me as they are the first set of 3D models I've finished. I'll be using these new found skills more in the future, the french buildings are next on the to do list etc.

Working in 3D has also meant that making things such as the damage frames can be done a lot easier & faster.

The same also applies to the buildup animations, so the Hungarians are the first side to have a fully completed set of buildings.

For pics of the individual builds see the Hungarian page on the site.

I think you should play with the brightness and contrast settings of the renderer, so that the 3D buildings can have the same softer shading of your 2D work.

Looks pretty awesome, anyway.
My only complaint is the doors on the CY buildup look kinda weird rising up in such a static manner, but since it won't be seen for more than a second or two, who cares!

Well I'd like to eventually replace all the 2D buildings with 3D versions. The more of them I make the faster I'm getting, plus the fact that I already have designs to base them on means they shouldn't take long to do.

Daggone, Mig. You really captured the gritty old WW2 atmosphere really freakin well.

if there's one thing to improve I'd say a little more diversity in the buildings; more of those happy little tidbits to (ideally) make people know what their function is simply based on appearance.
