I am working on a map that has an occasional group of enemies attack you. They are set up to appear from off the map and patrol a path through the prospected players' bases. The only problem I have is choosing the Country that it belongs to.

When I set it to Civillian, the team works and attacks, but the player's units do not automatically fire upon the team or guard against them.

When I set it to JP (Special), the team works but does not attack, and the player cannot even forcefully attack the team.

When I set it to Cuba, RA2 crashes when the team is set to be created.

I have also found that just about any trigger involving Multi-Player #X (players 0-7, country numbers 13-20) causes internal errors if any of the involved players are not in the game. (I.E. give each of the 4 or 8 players an oil derreck at start, when only 2 or 3 players are present.)
However, these same trigger setups DO WORK in YR. I have been trying to find a fix for this for a long time.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

yeah, i have the same problem Mad  i've tried it many times in difirent ways, but everything fails........ but how is it in missions, because there you fight against armies and there are also teams created, but there nothing crashes. how did westwood did that?

it crashed when you tryed cuba proberly cause there was not a cuba playing on the map.cause its a multiplayer map it counts stuff like that so if cuba was not selcted to play then it would crash as there would not be a cuba to goto.it sounds a bit werid cause i ain't good at explaining things like that.

In singlerplayer missions you can create new countries and ally them with certain teams. Singleplayer has a lot of things that are impossible in MP.
Also, you can only give stuff to players in MP in YR, as you have already found out.

I know what you mean.

Hey cracker, I know someone who might beable to help you with your team types and stuff, I know alot about team types and all that, but my friend is way better at it. if you want to know how to contact him, just pm and Iwill let ya know how. and good luck with the map.

Talking about teams...I've got a group ot Soviet hover's outside the map,how i can fill them?
And,can u show me a model of trigger to make them move to shore????


I'm working on a map(obiously better than Factory Conflict!!)and is SP,help a lot needed!!!!!

Scripts control the enter/leave transport function.

just look throught the script functions
and do these:

#0 Move to waypoint... (any of your choosing.)

#1 Load onto transport.

#2 Wait till fully loaded.

#3 Move to waypoint..(to unload zone you pick)

#4 Unload

I think in edit Teams *Full and *Loadable must be checked if im not mistaken.

you need to create a team that has the units you want and the transport. the units will be in the transport. then you might be able to use the previosly posted script

Create a team that has both the transport and the passengers, set it to Full, set its script to do whatever you want (like move to shore, for starters) and write a map trigger to spawn it at the necessary waypoint.

If i set up a trigger and attempt to play the level, the game crashes and the IE message pops up when the trigger is supposed to start. How can i avoid this??

I have better things to do than to pry information about your problem from you... In other words, that is nowhere near enough detail to know what the problem is. For example, saying what the trigger is supposed to do, and listing its Events and Actions would be a good start.

If you download flying z assault maps then would answer enemies attacking and u defending back.
