i know how to add allied and axis buildings, and change ownership, but when i start the game and give ownership to say, america, and then choose to be america, the buildings are not in the map. when i leave them grey(no one's) then the say prism tanks kill me, and i have to send engineers to take the buildings. is there anyway to create player controlled buildings in the editor so that when i start the game, the computer and i already have bases? i would love to start with huge bases for both me and the comp. is there a way?

Moved to Mapping Discussion.

You cannot code "give this building to human player - me", only "give this building to player who started in Starting Position 1/2/etc". And that only works in Yuri's Revenge, not plain RA2.

So, open your map in FA2:YR.
Go to Options and turn off Beginner Mode.
Go to Edit> Triggers and create a new Trigger. Name it something meaningful, like "Set owner to player 1". Set House to Civilian.
In the Events tab, create an Event. Select Event 13 - Elapsed Time.
In the Actions Tab, create an Action. Select Action 14 - Change House. Set parameter to house "Player@A" if you want to give the objects to player starting at the first position, "Player@B" if at second, etc.
Click "Place On Map".

Now double click on each object you want to give that house, and in the Tag field, select the one with the same name as your trigger.

If you want to assign some objects to another house, clone the trigger and change the parameter of its Action.

No, it assumes you are using FA2:YR.

Because "Player@A" stuff only works in YR, not plain RA2 (which I forgot to mention at first, btw, so thanks for reminding me). But the OP didn't say which game he wanted to edit, either.
