It looks like Tiberium Wars will be getting its own companion novel by Keith R.A. Decandido.
Although its not official yet, and you can't buy it yet, if all goes well it should be available on March 27, 2007.
It will be published by Del Ray for $7.99.

While I love reading, a book based on an EA game will probably be poor.

Confused

On the other hand, someone mentioned at TibWeb that it might hold details not in the game, so, it may not be all bad.

Hm, I wonder how long it is? I'm probably going to buy it, but doubt I'll ever get around to reading it...

A book based on the Tiberium universe?

Well, it's a good idea, but what will it cover? The whole history?

Besides, I don't think I can buy it in the Netherlands. And too bad, my parents won't allow me to use my bank account for these things Crying or Very sad

I doubt that such a book will ever reach the Philippines.... its fanbase is too... specialized if you know what I mean, and bookstores here don't sell books like those. no choice but to order it overseas then Mad

If its anything like the other video game based novels, we'll either get a retelling of the campaign from a soldier's point of view, a story that follows up to a campaign mission, or a completely non-canonical story featuring characters (and/or units) from the game.

Kieth DeCandido seems to be in his element anyway. Neutral

I wonder why the book is coming out after the game? Doesn't really seem logical to me...

The book would come about week after the game.

The book takes place between the third and fourth Tiberian games.
