Hey guys i've encountered an issue with seting up a whole new defined
tech tree(the game crashes as soon as it starts,Serious error ROLF).

this is what i've done:

>I have created a new side which selects and appers fine

> my side has a new defined command center and tech tree(structre only,with one dozer)

>my side's dozer has a command set which is set up in a way that all buildings are linked to the buttons required.

>my template spawns a dozer and command center based on the new files which define my faction's buildings and units

>my command center has the command set to construct basic general powers and dozers(dozer is based on fraction,upgrades are from china orignal).

I have used these files to do this:

General.csf (strings etc
ChallengeMode.ini (Strings ref,for new faction
ControlBarScheme.ini (for fractions Interface aka the china styled version
Commandbutton.ini (for linking construction tabs
Commandset.ini (for linking construction tabs
Playertemplate.ini (for new fraction basic infomation,ie name,starting units.

(in data/INI/Objects)

FlameGeneralInfantry.INI
FlameGeneralVehicles.INI
FlameGeneralAir.INI
FlameGeneralCine.INI
FlameGeneralMisc.INI
FractionBuilding.INI -for new faction's main buildings,etc

any help or advise would be greatly aprecatied.

ok, heres what I would do. Take all your inis out of the directory, and then keep adding them and launching the game 1 at a time. When the game crashes, look in that ini for mistakes. I find that the control bars usually cause me the most trouble.

Easier, open WorldBuilder and see what it says. It has a built in bug detector.

Updated:
Fraction now has building all ready to be molded to my wim XD
the only possible thing which could stop me now is upgrades
but i'll cross that bridge once i get to it eh? thanks again,once this is done you can all have the files once posted.

A Flame General will be added- This team will have upgraded Incendiary ammo which will cause units to die with flames(also has high damage),along with more upgrades to help infantry.

A Tech GLA General will be added-GLA can be a pain,all those crates can make such a difference this general will have all Full crate upgraded on construction,along with higher tech units.

A Missle General will be added-Missles are one things america fractions didn't touch too much, this general
has increased rate of fire for all missle units and to top it off a general power which will send a cloud of missles in a large area,great for hitting bases to remove their defencive units.

This is just a sample of what i'm gonna be trying to make XD
but mainly i'm doing this for the fun faction PMSL.Very Happy

Worldbuilder can find a lot of stuff, but no Commandset errors sadly...

lol,
i find that if you have your new faction in a new chapter
the less problems the game complains about,took me ages to understand how it was working.

I find working these things out fun,a challenge of sorts,it helps to ask about things, and anyway got to do something when i'm not studying lol.
