Subject description: A map of the westwood in the snow theather!

Theses days , i stop a little my mod for make maps and i was overing this map it's name is near ore far, yes, i changed the theater of the map to snow (you know copy, paste Wink ) , i changed the lighting, ambient sounds and this seeing with the original, have no much differences, i tried to make the positions, the ground types, the trees in the same place of the original, soo enjoy Razz !

in theses days i will make a version for red alert 2 too Smile !

Note: In this topic you will see "near ore fear", is "far" not "fear" soo continue
your live! Very Happy

On the first picture, why is the building standing on the water? Somehow the map seems familiar to me.

Lol. In case you didn't guess (by its name), its the Near Ore Far map,
snow version. The building being near the water was because of WW.

Nice conversion though, maybe you should even put some in your mod instead of release #Tongue

snow didnt have that brown beach tiles lol... so it will really looked like it is on water...

i think there are some water areas that prohibits the placement of the shipyard... somewhere at the right part of the map, also when swimming units will be seen standing...

is that also fixed?

1-this map was maded to be identical to the original soo is normal this appears to be strange!

2- As i know, this problem is of the original map, and as i just paste the map in a new, this problem is fixed!

it kinda looks weird how none of the civilian structures have any snow on them, while the faction's are covered with snow.

Westwood should have also improved AI, added good terrain,
made good units (like todays mod's have) and an endless number of things.
But thats what mods are for Very Happy

Replace those buildings with something else, having sunny hotels doesn't suit the snow surroundings. Well done on the conversion by the way.

The starting places are too near in the ores. No enough build space.

Remove the buildings without snow art.

Make the 'beaches' longer, and maybe enlarge the map for a bit so the ore is somewhat further away from the base.

1. Then the map would have almost no buildings...
2. Hes just converted the YR map to snow theatre, not editing or expanding it any other way.
