uh.... this is not a modding question, but anyway...try disabling all programs that are running in your computer and try installing it when you are offline. The smaller the number of background programs, the higher the chances for this not happen... you can also try cleaning your CD....

i know its not a modding question... but i tried ur suggestion and still wont work.. ea says i need to register to get technical help but how the hell do i register if the game wont install in the first place...

i had a similar problem, i just unistalled Generals and then reinstalled and didn't apply any patches to it and Zero Hour installed with no problems.

defrag and scan disk your pc

update all software on microsoft.com and all drivers for your sound/graphics cards.

then try to reinstall

if it wont work take it back were you got it an say its deffective
