I'm looking for a certain type of game
I want to play a fun game, these are my requirements:
First Person Shooter
Multiplayer
Not Team Based. I don't want character types or kits, none of this shit.
No respawn time (why the ztype would this EVER be implemented?)
My ideal game would ofcourse be Halo, but I already have it for xbox, and I am not buying twice. So I am looking for something like halo, but on the PC. Any suggestions?
The online FPS I have right now can be downright lame at times; a battlefield one and then Team Fortress 2. TF2 seemed really fun in the beginning, but the more I played it the less fun it got, and now it's at the point where it is just an annoyance. I really liked FO3, but there's no online for it, and I have practically done everything there is to do in that game (I've been to every location and 'cleared' every). Sure, I can wonder around looking for random encounters, but at this point it just seems pointless. _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT

It is:

Damn, you get a so good feeling in Halo 2 when you punch someone dead while he/she is dashing towards you with an energy sword (requires map pack for the melee damage increase, and the other player usually needs to have shields down) They all go like "WTF IMPOSSIBLE!!!" _________________ QUICK_EDIT

No melee? Excuse me, but it's really in there and has saved my ass many times
What he said. The few times I played Left 4 Dead, I came to learn melee is the best weapon you have.

I have Halo 1 and 2 for the xbox, so I am not going to buy them for the PC. I would absolutly LOVE it if Halo 3 comes out for PC, but I don't know if there is any indication fo that...
Finally, I do love killing zombies; Doom has always been a favorit of mine, however, I do own Doom3 and the xpack for the Xbox. Now,, as for L4D, how long is the game, does it have replayablilty, and is there a deathmatch?

L4D is more of an online game, where you play with 3 friends and fight your way trough hordes of zombies, or with the latest update, try to survive as long as possible in a specific location. There's also a Versus mode, where 1 team of 4 ppl take the survivors, and another group of 4 takes the role of 'Special Infected' (zombies with special abilities). Because of the AI Director one game is never the same as another, even though you still play trough the same areas each time.
There is also an offline mode in which you play with the AI trough the campaigns. It's good to learn the basics. QUICK_EDIT

Unreal Tournament, take your pick from the first Unreal Tournament, 2k3, 2k4 or Unreal Tournament 3. First and 2k4 are the best, UT3 is decent but it has bugs and has huge requirements while 2k3 was more of a stand-in while they made 2k4. I can run FO3 on high settings, along with RA3, so would Unreal 3 run properly? (triple attack of the threes!).
