I see absolutely no plausible use in this. Spend your time on something that will be noticed, revered, or even really liked by the community. If you apply yourself in projects that make sense, then you'll progress much farther much faster. Trust me.

I won't bother finishing the ghosts then.

I know, it's dumb. But it's pretty much all I can do. I'm not good at drawing and I've never made a 3D model. The only reason I got this done was because I could copy the frames from the game and convert them.

I have one more SHP, but you'll probably just think it's stupid. Then again, what the hell do I care what you think?

And also, I will have a use for it.

Yes DaTS, that kind of attitude is great. Just encourage him to make some more generic GDI and Nod shit to go unnoticed in the SHPs forum along with the rest of the crap thats never used like the numerous Conscript recolors around the C&C community.

God forbid people make something that is out of the mold. It isn't great quality but tis a breath of fresh air! So much for originality.

OP, fix it up and put more effort into it and make it half decent. Be proud of your work and make it not a piece of crap rather then taking crap.

I actually have to agree with that. I will re-make the Pac Man SHP and GIF. I am also going to make five ghosts, the four originals and one colorless one. I have taken some peoples advice and have started planning another SHP with greater detail. The weapon part of it will be simple, the person, not as much.

Thanks. I'm using the canvas size from one of the infantry units for the ghosts. After that, I'll redo Pac.

I couldn't stay focused, so I did some work on Pac and here is what I have so far.

eh, that still has fuzzy edges, only now you don't see them because of the black background.

tbh, you're better off converting this to pure black and white (2-colour mode), so all of the fuzziness is gone, and then colour the white part yellow.

also just push the button on shp builder to see a cross on the screen,use it and to make sure pac man isnt jumping around,althought it is supposed to do that ingame.

Oh god... I remember my first SHPs, horrible shit mostly, although I can't remember showing much of them before I figured out it was pretty much impossible to make things from scratch in the shp editor.

Tips:

1. Get Blender. It's an open source program, so you can get it for free (Not as if that matters, but oh well...). Look for a tutorial like this one.

2. Do 2D stuff, webpages for mods are useful too, wallpapers, menus, flat terrain and shp recolors.

3. Do something completely different, try voxelling, mapping, making music, programming, writing stories, coding, anything you can come up with.

4. Ignore people who tell you you suck in a harsh way. Ignoring them won't improve your skills, but at least you won't feel bothered by smartarses. In short: You still suck (it's a fact, everybody sucked at one point, no matter what they tell you, they simply sucked balls, hairy donkey balls), but people should at least have the decency to tell you how to improve instead of showing off their own skills (Yes, I'm looking at you, mr. United States Armed Forces NX-BT 1st cavalry XZ-220 commando).

I'm not much of an artist, but I am already learning blender. Also, I'm an experienced programmer and know how to use a few languages.
