Been trying to make my own cameos but ran into some problems:

From the tutorial:

Quote:
Small cameos are 62x50 pixels and large are 122x98 pixels. You should make sure your cameos are this big before you begin trying to add them in

How do I do this? Does that mean I only look for pictures that are already in that size? Or is there a way to do this myself?

Quote:
Open up paint and have the image size be 512x512.

I also don't know how to make sure the image is 512x512.

None of the programs i've tried will allow me to get 512x512.

When I put 512 in one box, the other box changes (to something different), if I try and put 512 in the other box, it changes the other one.

I have tried this with several programs.

Paint will not let me open Tga, so I just tried editing the picture in a different file type. But still don't have a clue how to get those deminsions.

Thanks for any help.

Open up 2 instances of paint. On one of them, hit ctrl + e. Then change the dimensions to 512x512 (pixels). On the other one, paste your pic onto that one. Erase everything that is excessive or you don't want in the finally cameo, and then use the selecting box to select what you want to be your cameo. Then resize by clicking on the cornes of that box and dragging in. There will be the dimensions in the lower right hand corner. Keep resizing until it reads either 62x50 or 122x98.

Thank you for your help, I'm making progress.

But still don't have it right.

Why do I open up Paint, change the dimensions of nothing (Presumably), and then open my picture in the other paint window without changing the deminsions?

What is the purpose of the first paint window?

I should add, I am only trying to ake a cameo for the "build/upgrade icon" in the humvee commandset. I do not need a cameo for when the upgrade is actually taking place (the upgrade is instant).

I tried resizing the other paint window (the one with the picture. But it only increase the white area, not the picture.

Finally, when resizing the image to 62x50 or 122x98 (which one?), the picture loses valuble parts of it (I want everything in the picture (just scaled down). Can this be done?

Thanks for help.
