On my map, I have a trigger set up so that when you destroy the statue of liberty, the first 8 waypoints (the starting spots) get nuked. I recently decided that it would be cool if Hell March played while this was happening. So, I went to actions, selected action 20, play music theme, and selected HM2, which I assumed was Hell March. I then played the game (crap, I lost) and blew up the statue. The nukes came down, but the song didn't play. Why is this?

By the way....i tested it and tried changing some of the trigger...i think it doesn't work cause RA2 musics aren't in YR...soo he possibly don't regonizes it....either that or the action doesn't works. Confused

Vanilla Yuri's Revenge can't read Red Alert 2's tracks via map triggers without some sort of modification.

what you need to do is, stick your RA2 disk in the cd drive and extract the theme.mix to where ever, open it with xcc mixer and extract each theme song to the RA2 directory. After that use xcc mixer to enter them into the Thememd.ini by using the themewriter "located in Launch". after that they should work just fine.

I can't find the songs once I put them into the RA2 folder.

they should be .wav files. If you correctly put them in there then just open xcc mixer and (pic)

I did that, and I got this. Hell march still didn't play, and it also doesn't seem to be on the list on the right.

Well, hmmm, if you did it correctly your Thememd.ini should look like this

Thanks, I figured it out. I was being lazy and selected all of the songs and clicked extract, which did nothing. So I went back and did each one by one, and now it works.
Hell March is the perfect song to accompany the nukes.
