Here's a little map I made a few days ago for the first mission of my WIP mod's campaign. I quickly realised that it would be a decent MP map if I added some more accessibility, and fixed it up. I am aware that the shores are total crap, but I don't have the time ATM to fix them up. I might update this later.

Hope you guys like it!

Good start, ChronoSeth.

I noticed a few little places worthy of fixing up namely the paths that are only about 1 space wide. The AI and my harvesters kept getting snagged. But it is in fact a decent map.

Also, there is not much ore to be had...

Not much ore, yes, but what do you expect for a 3-player map? I guess it would be worth adding some more if others complain. I was thinking of adding a couple of oil derricks, but I was unsure of where to put them.
BTW, what paths are "one space wide"? The only one I can think of is near the middle of the map...
Another thing I might change is the southernmost bridge... it looks a bit long.

for a game that runs for a good 10 mins at its longest time, i think there is enough ore. Thats just me though.

Those circles are places to take a look at making wider. Stuff kept getting caught on both the ledge, and going down that ramp. Just a thought.

Yeah, I guess I did play an extended game...

A fairly well balanced 3 player map? Never thought I'd see the day honestly.

The map is very plain in terms of detailling, but I quite like the layout.

@Atari: That ramp really has no reason to be there, after I added the larger one next to it.
I guess I'll work on improving this over the next few hours.

Yeah, but the AI kept getting stuck on it when approaching from the top left starting point, coming to my base on the bottom left starting point.

IMO looks great for an first-time map, no much complains...but if you looking to make better ones, you should definately:

-Makes less blocky cliffs, some just looks awful as isn't look real.
-more lat variation, for example expand the sand, soo it looks more real and not only there cause of the auto-shore thing.
-usa better the elevations, most are alright, but others looks like too simple. Confused
-Better distribution and use of buildings, don't make them only in one place, and to look more an urban area, make some pavement around it. Razz

Thats what i really think that you could improve, other than that, everything looks good, great job. Cool
