Early Mod Idea
I know mods aren't normally posted here, but since its only a rough idea at this point I didn't think it was worth going up in public mod announcements or what game I'd create the mod in (RA2 perhaps).
It came about from playing the older C&C games TD and RA and the implied links the two had to one another that where never really explored in the canon games. As such this takes place between the two above games. Here is a draft storyline.
"The years following 1950's saw the largest European empire since the time of the Romans, Soviet Russia stretched from the Bering Sea to the North Atlantic Ocean. Joseph Stalin did not live to see the fruits of his dream after his mysterious death in London upon its conquest, the government of the new Russian empire became segregated, many countries coming under the leadership of Soviet Commanders who had taken them during the war. Perhaps it was the political instability that followed which would lead to the Soviet's grasp on the continent to slowly disintegrate.
The following years saw an increase in United States power, threatened at times by further Soviet ambition (And retaliation for their role among the Allies during the Great War) but stood strong against the now decaying leadership of the Soviets and the peace back in Europe was short lived as infighting between rival Soviet governors and the increasing rise of ex-allied guerrilla forces sprung up throughout the continent (Many backed by USA sympathizers) forcing Russia to turn its attentions back to its homeland.
By 1980 much of the Soviet Empire had become fractured, Great Britain had regained its Independence with support from America. Many African, Middle Eastern and Asian countries under soviet occupation revolted under the power of a new terrorist regime calling itself the Brotherhood of Nod. This new power in the world came to threaten Russia from within as many corrupt officials where gradually discovered to be under the Brotherhoods influence. Over the next 10 years attacks committed on both Soviets, British, American and other targets via the Brotherhood grew alarmingly.
By the 1990's The central governing body of Russia, meeting with other European leaders, Britain, America and several other countries across the globe meet, reforming the United Nations and performing one of the greatest acts of military cooperation the world had perhaps ever seen, the formation of a international anti-terrorist defense force. With the combined military tools of the Soviet Empire and the USA the Global Defense Initiative was tasked with restoring world peace and eliminating dangerous terrorist threats across the globe, most notably the Brotherhood of Nod.
Europe is in grave turmoil however, many Soviet leaders see this as an act of weakness on behalf of Russia and it would appear many within the Empire are rebuilding the Soviet War-machine to once more show their power. A new alliance is forming amongst European countries forming a network of freedom fighters and guerrilla forces, many countries are now split in allegiance backing the new Allies who are recovering much of the weaponry used in the Great War.

Heh, sorry I needed a pause after writing all that.
As for gameplay it would mostly be like TD vs RA of sorts.
