Conscript


Stats
Armament: PPSh-41 Submachine gun

Role: Basic Infantry

Information
The basic footmen of the Red Army. Cheap, expandable, determined. While their submachine guns and crude flak jackets won't give them an edge against other tougher infantry in an one-on-one, they greatly excel when they attack en-masses. And their cheap cost means they can be deployed on the battlefield frequently and in large groups.

Flak Trooper


Stats
Armament: Flak Bazooka
Armor Class: Flak
Speed: Moderate
Cost: $200
Role: Anti-air, Anti-infantry
Requires: Barracks

Information
Powerful yet cheap and expandable, Flak Troopers spell trouble for squads of infantry and aircrafts as they can easily splice them with clouds of shrapnel released from exploding flak shells. They are however, very weak against even the lightest of heavy armor.

Terror Drone

Armor Class: Classified (Type 1)
Speed: Very Fast

Role: Anti-armor, Anti-infantry, base security

Information
These small robotic units are manufactured at the Barracks, leaving some space for bigger hardware over at the War Factories. Other than ripping tanks inside out and tearing infantry to shreds, Terror Drones also serve as a 'guard dogs'. It is capable of looking through disguises and killing the imposter on sight. How this works is unknown but this is proof that the Soviets have advanced technology.

Engineer


Stats

Armor Class: Flak
Speed: Moderate
Cost: $500
Role: Repair structures, Capture structures, Bomb defusal
Requires: Barracks

Information
Engineers are highly valuable and highly vulnerable units. They can be used to repair damaged structures to full health, restore destroyed bridges, capture enemy or tech structures and defuse bombs planted by rogue "Crazy Ivans" (or those accidentally planted by "Crazy Ivans" drunk on vodka). They carry minimum body armor and are unarmed so escorts are needed to protect them as they travel to their destination.

Tesla Trooper

Speed: Slow

Role: Advanced infantry
Requires: Barracks, Radar tower

Information
Clad in heavy insulation suits and wielding the power of electricity in a gauntlet, Tesla Troopers electrocute their way through the battlefield, leaving behind charred remains of soldiers unlucky enough to have crossed their path and tanks with their internals fried out. They can also lend their power to Tesla Coils, greatly powering them up. Powered up Tesla Coils are capable of delivering a devastating blow to even the toughest vehicles.

Terrorist

Role: Suicide infantry

Information
Originating from guerrilla cells opposed to the capitalist pigs, Terrorists deliver crushing blows to unsuspecting enemies. With only a vest rigged with explosives as armor, they are ridiculously fragile. This does allow them to sprint at the target and self-destruct when in range. Snipers however, are able to kill them without triggering their explosive vests. Rumor has it that they can utilize car bombs and they did use them during the Soviet Uprising...

"Crazy Ivan"

Role: Base demolition, Suicide infantry
Requires: Barracks, Radar tower

Information
Codenamed after a famous mad bomber who helped the Soviets in the siege of France, "Crazy Ivans" have little grasp on sanity and they sure love bombs. Their homemade time bombs go off in a huge bang, capable of destroying or inflicting massive damage against  anything. They are also crazy enough to blow themselves up for an even bigger bang. Careful though - these guys can't tell the difference between friend and foe.

Spetsnaz

Armament: AK 74 rifle, GP-30 Grenade launcher
Armor Class: Flak
Speed: Moderate
Cost: $1000
Role: Specialist infantry
Requires: Barracks, Radar tower

Information
Some of the finest soldiers of the the Red Army make up the Spetsnaz. Well trained and well equipped, the Spetsnaz is used in special operations which usually require them to wreck havoc on the enemy when they least expect it, making it easier for the army to finish them off afterwards. Their lightweight assault rifles are deadly against infantry and do decent damage against vehicles. Against structures, they use their grenade launchers which can injure and kill occupants of garrisoned structures. In turn, they too can garrison structures. The fact that they're undetectable on radar means these soldiers can strike when the commander turns a blind eye. And unfortunately for hidden units, Spetsnaz are equipped with infra-red and thermal goggles as standard.

Black Guard

Role: Heavy infantry
Requires: Barracks, Battle Lab

Information
Known as "Werewolves" by the rest of the Union, the Black Guard are the few elites who has their roots in the same elite group that guarded the the premier. Wearing heavy armor and armed with powerful gyrojet rifles, they are the only ones who can stride into battle while unleashing fiendish firepower at anything and everything. They can also survive in radiation and detect those who try to hide from them. Being some of the more valuable infantry, they are not cheap to deploy on the battlefield. Use them wisely.

Boris


Stats
Armament: Custom AKM rifle, Laser designator
Armor Class: Flak
Speed: Moderate
Cost: $1500
Role: Commando
Requires: Barracks, Battle Lab

Information
Starting out as a random Conscript, Boris has since raised through the ranks and has since became one of the Red Army's iconic figures. His custom made AKM rifle shoots armor-piercing rounds which can shred infantry and tanks alike. Once he is within range, he can paint a target using his laser designator and call in an airstrike. Initially, he has the authority to call in two MiG Bombers. Once elite, he gains the authority to call in an experimental fighter bomber known only as the Dragonbird, a very fast aircraft armed with a tactical nuclear bomb. One of the few commandos solely trained for frontal combat, Boris is someone you don't want to mess with.
