Here comes the first public test version for Colony Wars, For now the Ants aren't in yet. So for now enjoy the new toys for each of the three sides. The only Sides that still utilize their units properly is the Russians (USSR),Yuri(Psychic Enclave) & USA (Western Alliance) so if you want to fight against an AI do so against these 2. As expected from a Test Release don't expect much. Expect some missing bits of data here and there but it is overall playable.

The Release comes packaged with FatMan Ares which is required to run the Mod and CNCnet to allow network play.

Toggle Power – A Support Power provided to all 3 Human Sides, the Toggle Power comes with their respective Construction Yard allowing you to turn on or off power on individual buildings.

Construction Yards = Citadel (Yuri), Headquarters (Soviets) & Command Center (Allies)
Battle Labs = Cabal Laboratory (Yuri), War Academy (Soviets) & Tech Center (Allies)

Miners & MCVs:
Miners & MCVs are all immune to radiation,can self heal & cannot be vehicle sniped.

All Defense Buildings can now Promote:
Pillbox – Prism Tower – Grand Cannon – Patriot Missile (For Allies)
Sentry Gun – Tesla Coil – Flak Cannon (For Soviets)
Nova Pylon – Magnet Obelisk – Gatling Cannon (For Yuri)

Gates – Gates can now be built by all the 3 Sides.
*Currently the NW/SE Gates are still using the resized Tiberian Sun Gates


New Soviet Stuff:

The Soviets are now grouped into 3 Main Sub Factions, Namely the USSR,Imperial League & the Latin Dominion.

Soviet Shared Stuff:

Cyber Dog – Replaces the Old Soviet Attack Dog, Cyber Dogs are cybernetically enhanced Attack Dogs. Boasting the most strength among the 3 dogs. Cyber Dogs are naturally immune to Radiation and can regenerate. Also, the Cyber Dog is armed with an EMP Emitter from its mouth which disables any mechanical unit not immune to it.

Sea Drone – Replacing the Giant Squid, The Sea Drone shoots weak electrical bolts. Hidden underwater these Mechanical Mini-Subs also serve as Detectors for the Soviet Navy.

Cobra Assault Tank – A Development by the Latin Dominion and patented to all Soviet Forces. The Cobra Assault Tank is the Soviets answer to an assault unit. Armed with a pair of Vulcan Machine Guns and Anti-Armor Missiles. The Cobra Tank can take out most enemy units with ease but lacks damage in taking out buildings.

Agent – Espionage Units of the Soviets, While the Allies have improved survivability and Yuri has Support Sabotage, the Agent compensates at least for guaranteed collateral damage against the enemy, should they get in. The Agent is armed with the same disguise kit as the Spy but also sports a Deadman Bomb that explodes should he be killed, hopefully damaging enemies around him as well.

Cosmonaut – Now trainable by all Soviet Sides.

Tesla Wall – Impenetrable Walls formed by bolts of electricity. The Tesla Wall replaces the Soviets form of Walling. The only way to destroy a Tesla Wall is by destroying its Corner Posts.

Repair Bay – Replaces their Service Depot. Repair Bays are small mechanical arms that can heal soviet vehicles. Their Basic AI makes their targeting ability very limited so you must manually move away fully healed units to repair them. All of this is free aside from the Power needed to build and credits to build it.

Speaker Tower – A Support Defense building available after building the War Academy. Much like from where they were based from, Speaker Towers can heal your units within earshot of it (6 Range) healing can be done multiple times if more than one tower is within the vicinity.

Crazy Ivans – Crazy Ivans now throw their bombs a short distance giving them a better chance of getting their bombs planted, also their bombs can again be remotely detonated.

USSR
The USSR is the main force of the Soviet Army. Armed with the latest technology in Robotics & Tesla Weaponry.

Veteran Units:
Tesla Trooper
Apocalypse Tank

Rhino Heavy Tank – Main Battle Tank, Main Battle Tank with far more health, almost close to an Apocalypse. At Elite its shells electrify the ground where its targeted.

Tesla Tank – Heavy Assault Tank, The Tesla Tank is armed with dual Tesla Coils which allow it to deal powerful electrical bolts at enemy units. At Elite these bolts can bounce around further boosting the Tanks Attacks. The Tank is somewhat armored and the bolts can shoot over walls.

Terror Drone – Small Mechanical Monstrosities made by the Soviets. The Terror Drone can burrow into enemy vehicles to slowly rip it apart.

Imperial League
The Imperial League are nations which form the Soviet Powerhouse in the Eastern Region, namely China & North Korea. They have access to powerful nuclear weapons and have improved Anti-Air Defenses to fend off their Allied Rivals, the Eastern Front.

Veteran Units:
Flak Trooper
Flak Track

Lion Medium Tank – Main Battle Tank, Is Armed with dual barrels letting it deal far more damage than other medium tanks. At Elite the shells start to leave radiation.

Desolator – Armored Infantry armed with a Rad Cannon which deals heavy damage to Infantry & Vehicles alike.

Nuke Cannon – Siege Unit that can fire powerful nuke shells.

Latin Dominion
The Latin Dominion are the Soviets demolitions and guerilla specialists. They can train covert or direct demolitions units which can deal massive damage to an enemy group or base.

Veteran Units:
Crazy Ivan
V3 Launcher

Viper Light Tank – Main Battle Tank, The Viper is arguably the weakest among all the light tanks. Armed with a Machine Gun instead, the Viper compensates for this with its One Firing Port to further increase its effectiveness. Should it reach Elite status though it is further strengthened with access to powerful napalm shells which deal splash damage to enemies.

Terrorist – Loyal Fanatics, Terrorists can disguise themselves and voluntarily detonate a bomb strapped to their body. The Terrorist are now trained to properly evade explosions they create to not affect their allies.

Demolition Truck – The Demolition Truck can reach a maximum speed of 10, but only if it isn't interrupted. It is now slightly cheaper. When it triggers the bomb itself it will deal more damage. Getting killed provides a weaker but still lethal explosion.

Rivera – Hero Unit, Rivera is a stealth commando armed with Combat Knives which he uses to take out enemy infantry easily. Dogs are unable to attack him though he will still be revealed to the enemy once sniffed out. He is also armed with his own version of the Ivan Bomb which deals considerably more damage.


New Allied Stuff:

Spy – the Spy now boasts increased Speed & Health, as well as crusher immunity.

Mirage Tank – The Mirage Tank can now disguise to any terrain object on any map allowing it improved versatility. As well as being able to get an elite weapon. (Now you can disguise as Cacti!)

Attack Dog – The Allied Attack Dog is now the fastest and sharpsighted Attack Dog, having much better speed and a higher sight range allows it to scout much more effectively and take down enemy infantry.

Robot Tank – The Robot Tank now sports Twin Cannons. The Robot Tank can now also Promote and receives the same benefits as most Tanks do. Can Self Heal.

Battle Fortress – The Battle Fortress no longer has a weapon and thus cannot promote but is now much more durable and can self-repair.

MCV – Has increased Armor and can self heal.

Bulwark Wall – The Allied Wall now has the most health.

Western Alliance
The Western Alliance are infantry specialists. They have veteran soldiers and can support their infantry in the battlefield.

Veteran Units:
G.I.
Navy SEAL

Grizzly Medium Tank – Thanks to its much more forwarded Turret, The Grizzly Tank boasts the longest range among the Main Battle Tanks allowing it to outrange most defenses.

Raptor – Decently Armored and somewhat bulkier than most aircrafts. The Raptor is armed with the strongest missiles among the 3 Aircrafts.

Medic – Unarmed Infantry who are naturally immune to poison. They can heal allied infantry in the battlefield.

Airborne (Spawned from Airborne Support Power) – Elite Infantry who may not be able to deploy but have improved training in their weapons allowing them to attack over alls and air units. The Airborne is also much better armored and tougher as well as being uncrushable.

Tanya – Not much to say, still the badass from vanilla.

European Joint
European Nations forming the Second Allied Sub-Faction. The European Joint are Vehicle Specialists. Notably with their Pilots who can be trained from the Barracks and their Hero Unit which comes in 2 versions, An Infantry & a Vehicle.

Veteran Units:
Guardian G.I.
Mirage Tank

Panther Heavy Tank – Main Battle Tank, Panther's have the natural immunity to omnicrushers allowing it to fend off much larger enemy vehicles. And when taken out, Ejects out the Pilot.

Intruder – Now the fastest among the Aircrafts. The Intruder may not possess the strongest missiles but the speed it has to evade most anti-air defenses more than make up for it.

Pilot – European Joint Unique Infantry, Pilots are experienced drivers who can drive anything. They can be trained directly from the barracks or are ejected from the Panther Heavy Tank when destroyed.

Tank Destroyer – An innovation by the Germans. The Tank Destroyer is somewhat much better armored and thanks to its long barrel allows it to attack much farther and do considerable damage. The Tank Destroyer is now more efficient on enemy buildings and somewhat better on infantry. Don't rely on it to fight infantry.

Apollo (Infantry) – Basically a weaker Prism Tank and as an Infantry. Apollo is armed with a powrful Prism Rifle which he uses quite noticably well. Much like other Prism Weapons, the Rifle deals superb damage against infantry and buildings.

Apollo (Prism Bike) – His Other Version, Apollo rides this powerful Bike armed with 2 Prism Cannons. The Prism Cannons fire much faster than the Prism Tank but cannot cause Laser Shrapnel and being a bike has weak armor.
* For now there is an abuse with the Prism Bike where killing it lets you get multiple Apollo Infantry by killing the Bike to spawn Apollo.

Eastern Front
Allied Nations composed mainly in the Eastern Hemisphere such as Japan & South Korea. The Eastern Front have much better aircraft units and have excellent air units in general.

Veteran Units:
Rocketeer
IFV

Tsunami Light Tank – Residing in areas with heavy concentrations of water the Eastern Front have opted to use this design. The Tsunami Light Tank can travel over land and see thanks to its treads which flip over allowing it to serve as a naval unit. Also, the Tsunami Tank is the only MBT armed with Anti-Air Weapons allowing it to engage enemy aircraft.

Black Eagle – The Black Eagle is now armed with a stealth shield which renders it invisible to the Radar as well as leave it cloaked until it attacks.

Spectre Gunship – An innovation in Aircraft Technology. The Spectre Gunship is a true VTOL Aircraft and can suspend in the air indefinitely. The Spectre Gunship is armed with cluster missiles which it can use to destro an enemy base once in range.

Rocket Diva – The Eastern Front Hero Unit, Armed with a Jetpack and powerful rockets dubbed “Diva Rockets” The Rocket Diva can much like the rocketeer go fly over anywhere. Her Rockets do well against infantry & vehicles.


New Yuri Stuff:

Yuri Shared Stuff:

Infiltrator – The Infiltrator is Yuri's Spy Unit, They can also serve as support units with their ability to disable mechanical vehicles with their Tools in their Suitcase. They are cloaked and are the slowest of the Spy Units.

Giant Squid – The Squids have lost the ability to mole-err Grab enemy naval units but are now much tougher and have much better attack power. They still fulfill the role of detector unit for the Yuri Naval Fleet.

Mutant Dog – Mutant Dogs created by Yuri's Tainted Hands. The Mutant Dog's bites cause infantry to swell up and explode into toxic gas. They are somewhat hardy but are in no way tougher than the Cyber Dog.

Chaos Drone – Chaos Drones now have two modes of combat, Close Range where they deploy and spread gas rapidly or long range where they shoot slower but as stated the gas attack is ranged.

Nova Pylon – New Basic Ground Defense, The Nova Pylon is a Cybernetic Brain housed in a small hub. The Pylon sends out blasts of psychic energy to destroy enemy units. It has a somewhat slower attack rate but can attack multiple enemies thanks to the psychic blast.

Magnet Obelisk – A Towering Defense Structure created by Yuri. The Obelisk can fire off powerful magnetic beams. While the beams are weak they have far much more range allowing it to attack would-be besiegers.
*Currently the Obelisk cannot be sold and has problems with the Turret rendering properly.

Magnetron – The Magnetron now has 2 Modes, When Undeployed it utilizes its Magnetic Cannon to damage targets. When Deployed it switches its Magnetic Cannon to grab mechanical units.

Brute – The Brute is now much more tougher and faster to make it less useless in vanilla.

Psychic Units – New Mind Control Limits, Mastermind doesn't overload anymore but fires more slowly. Mind Control Units gain 50% of the XP their victims receive.
Psi Corp – 1 (3 at Elite)
Mastermind 5 (10 at Elite)
Psi Commando 1 (3 at Elite)
Yuri Prime – 3 (5 at Elite)

Blast Disk – An aircraft unit that somewhat functions the same role as the Cosmonaut & Rocketeer.

Slave Miner – Is now unarmed but is now cloaked. Slaves are also cloaked, immune to radiation and also immune to poison and can regenerate. When a Slave Miner is killed the liberated slaves are killed as well.

Psychic Enclave
Yuri's Psychic Branch and headed by Yuri himself. The Psychic Enclave have much better mind control technology among Yuri's Army.

Veteran Units:
Psi-Corp Trooper
Master Mind

Immolator Light Tank – Main Battle Tank, Resembling more of a Drone than a Tank. The Immolator Tank houses Psychic Brains which can fire off a much stronger pyrokinetic blast than the Initiate. As with the Initiate it fires somewhat slower but is indeed the strongest among the light Tanks.

Yuri Prime – Hero Unit, Yuri himself serves as the Hero Unit, Unlike other Psychic units. Yuri by default starts with 3 Mind Control Pips instead. At Elite he can mind control up to 5. His Psi Blast has a maximum range of 5.

Tainted Hand
Yuri's Chemical & Genetic Research Faction. The Tainted Hand disrupt the battlefield with their sinister technology.

Veteran Units:
Brute
Virus

Berserker Medium Tank – Main Battle Tank, A Unique Tank as in it has hover Technology allowing it to easily fight in the water. The Berserker Tank has toxin shells which like the Virus' Rifle causes infantry to swell up and explode into toxic gas.

Toxin Drone – A Support Unit that shoots out Toxic Gas Grenades. The Grenades damage non-robotic units with lethality. Like its cousin the Chaos Drone, the Toxin Drone can enter a Deployed State at which it rapidly shoots out the toxic gas.

Defiler – Elite Armored Troops armed with a Acid Spray, the Spray deals lethal damage to all targets. The Defiler is naturally immune to the effects of Poison & Radiation. They are however slow and cumbersome.

Cabal Unity
Yuri's Technology and Weapons Research Faction, The Cabal Unity devastate the battlefield with their advanced weaponry.

Veteran Units:
Magnetron

Stalker Medium Tank – Main Battle Tank, somewhat average Medium Tank. Shells can cause mechanical targets to short circuit for a short duration.

Overlord – Siege Aircraft, Like the Kirov Airship, the Overlord serves as a powerful siege unit slowly floating towards the enemy bases to bring death. The Overlord is armed with a powerful Magnetic-Laser Cannon that rips apart any object near it. It has no means to protect itself against air units so is best escorted with other air units or ground units.

Cabal Avatar – Hero Unit, A monstrous creation by Cabal Scientists. Elite Soldiers of Yuri, The Cabal Avatar are cyborg warriors that can total an enemy base easily. Tougher than most hero units due to its metallic armor. The Cabal Avatar is perfect to have as a assault unit alongside other Ground Troops.

Well maybe theyre not communist, they just fight with the Soviet Union? Since WW2 never occured Japan is probably still under the rule of an emperor and yet fights for the Allies.

The Soviet MCV says "Building the Soviet Empire"

And... anyways the Imperial Nations is mainly composed of Communist China & North Korea... Also took it from the fact that they both referred to themselves as the Red & Yellow Dragons.

For the Eastern Front they are with Japan & South Korea...

Flame Gun - Replaces Sentry Gun for Latin Dominion

Dual Flak Cannon - Replaces Flak Cannon for Imperial League (Name is placeholder for now)

Advanced Tesla Coil - Replaces Tesla Coil for USSR (Placeholder name for now)

Corruption Cannon - Replaces Nova Pylon for Tainted Hand, Mutates infantry it kills into Brutes (Tainted Hand)

Magnet Pinnacle - Upgrade available only to the Cabal Unity, Allows the Magnet Obelisk to be much stronger and and allows it to attack air units. (Cabal Unity)

Psychic Pillar - Replaces Psychic Tower, Can mind control 5-10 and fires faster.

Guardian Turret - Replaces Grand Cannon for all sides except the European Joint, weaker and only has a 1x1 Foundation but consumes less power and is much cheaper obviously.

Shuriken Missile - Replaces Patriot Missile for the Eastern Front, Has faster but weaker missiles and uses a unique projectile, Can also attack ground targets.

Grand Cannon - As stated, is now brought back to a unique side.


Units:

USSR - V3 Launcher (Electrical Explosion at Elite)
Imperial League - SCUD Launcher (Nuke at Elite)
Latin Dominion - Rocket Buggy (Napalm at Elite)

Akula Missile Sub - Dreadnought that can dive, at Elite it gets Torpedoes to fend off naval attackers.

So I finally got motivated enough to finally finish some various Voxels...


Scarab Tank
Originally named the Immolator Tank, its now been redesigned into the Scarab Tank (Still a Light Tank) Scarab Tanks are the most powerful light tanks. Mostly due to its inherent design of being a Pyrokinetic Tank. Like the initiate, Scarab Tanks fire slower.


(Finally got it a Cameo)

Tsunami Tank
Eastern Front's MBT, The Tsunami Tank much like its other Unique Units have multi-use. The Tsunami Tank can serve as a Naval Unit thanks to its Variable Transformation Treads. And is also armed with the same Missile Launcher armeed on the IFV allowing it to attack airborne targets.


(Remade Voxel based on the Mislabeled Slide and Cinematics as well as my own take on it)

Rhino Tank
Rhino Tanks are the Main Battle Tank of the USSR, Being the Forefront of Armored Divisions and Tesla Technology its of no surprise that their own Tank would be the toughest around. Rhino Tanks utilize a back-up power source, namely a Micro Tesla Reactor which allows it to electrify its Shells and provides it power rendering EMP Effects less effective on them. At Elite Status, They're Tesla Reactors are upgraded into a more advanced version granting them full immunity to EMP Effects.

Panther Tank
The European Joint have the Germans to thank mostly to their superior armored divisions. The Panther Heavy Tank is the toughest Main Battle Tank in the Allied Arsenal. Unlike most other Tanks, the Panther is immune to being crushed by Omnicrushers giving it an edge in the front lines when faced with Masterminds,Apocalypses & Rogue Battle Fortresses.


(Further Tweaked the Cameo to make it less identical to the Chaos Drone)

Toxin Drone
Toxin Drones are the Tainted Hand's Unique Unit. Armed with the same weapons system as the Chaos Drone, The Toxin Drone instead releases poisonous Toxic Gas through its Grenade Launcher or Emitters.

Tweaked the Coils to be slightly brighter. The USSR can build these terrible monsters. The Tesla Tank is now more heavily armored and can shoot its bolts over walls. At Elite Status it's bolts slightly gain increased range and can bounce between targets.

As well as this I've also done some minor touch-ups on some other units, namely the Apocalypse Tank, The Voxel has been colored to a more menacing black. The Cameo is a slightly edited version of the vanilla Cameo that I've done myself.


Soviet Armored Lander
The Amphibious Transport of the Soviets. Armored Landers are more heavily armored than Yuri's and the Allied Versions but also moves more slowly due to this extra armor.


Allied Hydrofoil
Hydrofoils are aerodynamic amphibious transports which can easily move through land and sea. This lightweight armor is also what makes them more vulnerable.


Yuri Hover Transport
Yuri's Hover Transports are able to repair themselves and have back up powers making them immune to EMP. Another boon they have which is due to mainly being piloted by mind-controlled Pilots they are immune to Psychic Weapons.

Camo Pillbox
These versions are much more fortified and powerful versions for the Western Alliance. They can cloak when idle allowing a base to look seemingly less defended.

Guardian Turret
The Guardian Turret is a shared defense for the Western Alliance & Eastern Front (Being replaced by the more powerful Grand Cannon for the European Joint) Like their big brothers.


Hawk Nest - (And Hawk Jet)
The Hawk Nest is the Eastern Front is the Eastern Front's Unique Defense. The Hawk Nest utilizes robotic jet planes armed with almost infinite ammo for their machine guns. Each Hawk Nest is fitted with 3 Hawk Jets of which it replaces should any be gunned down. The Hawk Nest is also able to attack ground targets so it may also provide additional firepower when no airborne targets are in the vicinity.


Vulcan Gun
The Vulcan Gun is the new Sentry Gun, Available to the USSR & Imperial League. Vulcan Guns can fire twin vulcan guns which can shred enemy infantry and light vehicles easily.

Humvee
The Humvee is the Western Alliance's Main Anti-Air Unit. Armed with Rocket Launchers. The Humvee also allows infantry inside to fire out much like the Behemoth of a unit the Battle Fortress but sacrifices armor for mobility.


Riptide IFV
The IFV has now become a unique unit to the Eastern Front. Certain modifications have now made it amphibious thanks to a smaller variant of the Hydrofoil Chassis. This also affords the IFV high speed and mobility. As it was before, the IFV can modify its Turret depending on what type of infantry is inside.


Athena Cannon
A step-up from the Prism Tank. The Athena Cannon utilizes Satelites orbiting the planet to further power up its lasers. The powerful lasers brought down upon this mighty siege units can deal potentially devastating damage.

Garuda Artillery utilize a fast firing-cannon which while not accurate can guarantee the target location to be sufficiently saturated.

A Very minor preview for one of the Stolen Tech Infantry...

Credits go to Machine's Zone Trooper SHP.

Laser Vanguard, A Stolen Tech Infantry available to the Soviets. The Laser Vanguard utilize stolen Allied Technology on Prism Technology. Donning a very durable shield. These Soldiers of the Red Army are very durable and are immune to attacks from attack dogs due to the sheer thickness of their armor and training to protect themselves with their shields.

Also Introducing Yuri's Dog Equivalent... The Mutant Crow


These Crows have been mutated into monstrous vermin that release a poisonous chemical that causes infantry to swell up and explode. Although they might be small and weak they are still quite potent.

hmmm I guess I just ended up just going back on some things...

I ditched the Laser Turret since the only unit in question who did use it gets his own vehicle anyway...

This seems fine to people?

EMP Gun (Former Laser Turret) - IFV Mode for Spy Units...

Super Anti-Infantry Gun - (Tanya,Boris,SEAL,Virus)

With that... I'm still left with 3 Slots...

I could put back the Viral Dart Gun...

So if you haven't noticed yet... Colony Wars has a Tesla Boat. Should we make the Tesla Boat amphibious like it was in Red Alert 3. This would also allow me to move up the Original Tesla Tank and redesign it for a Tier 3 Super Tank equivalent to the Apocalypse Tank.
