Hello,

I have been trying to figure out how to edit the models, but I am at a loss. I've been reading and researching on how to import the w3x files into 3Dmax, but I can not seem to figure it out.

I know i need to extract the bin/menifiest/relo/ect from the big files then extract the assets from them. Which I have done. In fact right now I have everything extracted. Now i'm stuck on actually getting these things into 3DS Max for editing.

I've tired a few import scripts but none seem to want to function (and I am using 3DS Max 9). Though I could be tring to run the scripts incorrectly, but It should just be MaxScript -> Run Script then select the script. Nothing happens sadly. I've tired http://ppmsite.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24246 and Bibber's import script.

If anyone can help i would greatly appreciated it.

I guess I didn't explain it clearly enough.

I've done that, the MaxScript does nothing when i run it and Yes I have the RA3 SDK installed and the contents of "RA3 MOD SDK\3DSMax9_Plugin\Autodesk\3ds Max 9" copied into my 3DMax folder. I also know they are working as i can export to .w3x just fine.

Inside of 3DS Max fromthe menus I go to MaxScripts -> Run Script. I then navigate to where the script is stored. Select it and click open. Nothing happens. I mean nothing. Based on what I have read it should create a window that will walk me through the rest of the import.

There is a drop down list under the MaxScripts buttons.
After you clicked "run scripts" and selected the script, the drop down list should contain "w3x importer".
Select that and the options should show up.
