Old unreleased Tiberian Sun vault intro/background vid

Finally it has been re-uploaded, I remember first seeing this on gamestar.de years and years ago and could never find it again

Thankfully a youtube user has re-uploaded it

Its short, only the first 10 seconds of the vid but really interesting alternative version of the vault anim at the start of TS and used as the background of the main menu.

I assume its an older version purely based on the accompanying EA logo which is their old old logo but who knows? Either way it was never released.

Does look fantastic though there is no evidence this was ever the main menu. It could easily have simply been created and animated for the making-of. Even in that video the current menu is shown.

heh EA still had that EOA logo then
anyway that orbish main screen kinda reminds me on C&C3 somehow
the lower left one looks something like its EA/green tiberium logo

I guess I've just stared at the TS menu for too long, but this would definitely make a great alternative. Yeah, I think it was created just for this video, but anyway.

I guess the circular designs come from the C&C circle in the TD menu.

Exactly. All the menu designs up to YR (somewhat) pay homage to the original menu. Just compare the start up videos of TD and TS - the way the vault spins and closes, and the camera/vault rotates.
