I like the original Quake. Though that web version doesn't work very well for me at least not in Firefox.
I bought the Quake pack like a year or so ago on Steam during a sale...was cheap as crap and got all of the Quake games. lol

I kinda wish they'd revisit the Quake 1 story/world. The Quake 2/4 universe was done during a time when FPS were still bleh and resulted in mediocre games IMO. They could add so much more atmosphere and what not now though.
Quake 3 was...well...completely bad for a singleplayer stance...not too hateful for multiplayer though I guess. (I used to play Open Arena which was a Quake 3 mod that's stand alone was fun for a bit when other people were online)

Aye, I have the Quake pack on steam too, all but Quake 4 (Cant' say I care though), the original and the mission packs were always my favourite.

Quake 3 was in no way intended for singleplayer, instead it had a GREAT run in esports.

OpenArena was never a mod but a homage recreation upon ioquake3. It's a mod as much as OpenRA is. I was involved within it's development for years but then my interests shifted.

Man, the Quake engine gave birth to some great things.
