IgnoreIfAnticategoryActive was used in BFME, say you did cast a spell which had a DEBUFF attribute modifier which reduces the armor by 50%.
Then there is a hero unit with an aura which gives a BUFF attribute modifier which grants armor and other stuff and has IgnoreIfAnticategoryActive set.
The hero aura would not trigger in this case as the DEBUFF is active and the anticategory of BUFF. (I think you can set the anticategories, not sure right now)
ReplaceInCategoryIfLongest is similar, it uses the category and checks if the new modifier has a longer duration than the active modifier, and if true replaces it, else discards it. This was useful for pillage modifiers for example so it wouldn't stack and the player wouldn't gain more than he or she should have. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
