Hello, and welcome to the first "Report From the Battlefield." This new mini-news series dedicated to revealing new developments and information about the mod CnC: Final War. "Reports From the Battlefield" focuses on new gameplay mechanics, mod features, or unit profiles that stand out from others.

Today, we are going to discuss the new defensive structures known as Command Facilities. Command Facilities are constructed after the player has established a Radar Facility, and offer a couple new minor Super Weapons known as "Powers." These facilities cost $1500, require 100 power, and possess medium-strength armor.

European Coalition Command Uplink

European Coalition Command Uplinks serve as an additional radar facility in addition to their other roles. The "Emergency Repair" is the Uplink's suppport power, which heals vehicle units for a flat rate in addition to providing a small extra amount of healing after the initial repair application. An Emergency Repair costs $750 to use, and has a six minute recharge. The Uplink's offensive power is the "Chrono Reinforcements," which warps in three Crusader Tanks from a safe base located elsewhere. Calling in Chrono Reinforcements costs $1700 and has an eight minute recharge. In addition to the radar capabilities, the Command Uplink replaces standard "Sunburst Scout Drone" scout power with the "SpySat Reveal" power that reveals the entire map to the commander after seven minutes.

Eastern Empire War Center

Credit to the original artist for providing this asset, Gamemate for damaged frames, and AG for sharing.

Eastern Empire War Centers come equipped with extra training protocols, enabling the Eastern Empire basic infantry to be able to achieve 'veteran' ranking as soon as they are recruited. The "Repair Drone Drop" power that is offered to Eastern Empire commanders as a support power allows for a remote-control drone to be para-dropped onto the battlefield, where it can be used to repair damaged vehicles. Repair Drones are lightly armored and possess no combat weapons, so they should be protected. Calling in the Repair Drone Drop costs $750 and has a recharge time of six minutes. The offensive power of the Center is the "Terror Drone Ambush," which spawns 3 Terror Drones anywhere visible on the map. These drones are old war relics, designed to enter and destroy infantry and vehicles from the inside. Summoning the Terror Drone Ambush costs $1500 and has an eight minute recharge.

Remnant Legion Psychic Beacon

Remnant Legion Psychic Beacons are old-war relics, and often very rare. They still have intact mental capabilities unlike most of the remaining inventory of equipment, which means they are still capable of psychic detection of incoming enemy attacks, as well as detecting Spies and stealth enemies. The "Synaptic Boost" is the support power provided to Remnant Legion commanders by the Beacon, granting your or your allies' infantry a 25% armor increase for fifteen seconds. To use the Synaptic Boost, commanders must pay $750 and it has a six minute recharge. The "Induce Chaos" offensive power induces a state of primal rage within the ranks of enemy forces, increasing their firepower by 15%, weakening their armor by 15%, and causing them to go into a berserk state. To Induce Chaos, a commander must pay $1000 and it has an eight minute recharge time.

Stay posted for the next "Report From the Battlefield" to see new features and gameplay changes!

Seems like a solid start.  What does the War Center look like in temperate, without the snow?
