Does anyone know what I need to do in the .text files to change the color schemes for skirmish mode? I want to make the infantry and vehicles gray for the red team (NOD Original color scheme)

That's impossible
There is only one color for all objects. Red for buildings and grey for units like in TD is entirely impossible.

So you can only choose between either Red or Metallic, but don't have both. Metallic is the old Nod vehicle color. Wink

P.S. one topic is enough. No need to create 3. Deleted the other 2 topics.

they didn't. At least not in DTA

In TD it was specially coded by the westwood programmers that in case of Nod, buildings get red and vehicles metallic color.

Is the TS game engine built/modified from the TD/RA engine? The Red Dawn mod for Red Alert managed to have Red and Metallic for Nod. Maybe it is not impossible to do in TS.

It is built from the RA engine, but it's heavily modified and more complex. It's also likely that a lot of systems have been entirely rewritten. Some hacker who has studied the games' engines would likely know more.

That being said, at least I don't find the color schemes that important.

The engine is not even the problem.

You can easily easily make nod have red buildings and metallic units.  However it requires editing the colours of the units themselves in the graphic files. You either make the buildings always red without any faction colour masking, or you make all the units grey without any faction colour masking.

It'd be quite a bit of work.

And how do you want to then differentiate between Nod Player 1 and Nod Player 2 when buildings and units have fixed red and metallic colors?
