Subject description: Need a little refresher. ..

I've recently re constructed my personal mod using the TS client and I'm now getting to the point where I need to polish and balance some aspects of the game play. ..so my questions are regarding the topics in the subject line. .

1. What is needed to correctly add an air supeority aircraft using the TS client?  I've searched for posts in the editing forum and haven't found the answer I need...I've read that it was possible within an older ETS post..any insight would be stellar ! [Want a simple air to air missile]

2. My navy could use a bit of tweaking...ASW weapon [torpedo] for a ship to ship weapon is my idea. I am also wondering if it is possible to create the weapon where it would only target other ships/naval units?

I don't think 2. can be done. While the ASW= key is listed in the  Projectile Statistics part of the rules.ini but it is not found with in the game. Looks like ASW= was left in the rules.ini from RA1.

1. Impossible. ETS is a completely separate exe hack project and not the client.
Flying AircraftTypes can not target other flying AircraftTypes

2. Anti-ship weapons can be only done by reserving a certain Armor. DTA is using Concrete armor for all ships.
A torpedo that explodes when it hits land is not possible.
DTA uses a Floater logic projectile to simulate a torpedo. With a relatively short range, the chance is this way low that it will travel on/over ground.

Well that unfortunate,  thanks for the reply. .if I was bold enough to attempt  a hack myself would anyone know where to start?  Or what exactly doesn't allow aircraft types to target aircraft types? I personally think  that having a dedicated AA aircraft might enhance gameplay..

Study x86 Assembly Language and C++, then once you feel like you can handle the languages, download a disassembler / debugger like OllyDbg or IDA Pro and then disassemble game.exe. Spend a lot of time figuring out the code, and then make your hack.

If you're quick, you'll be able to do it in a few years (assuming close to zero programming experience).

that's questionable
a) aircraft are very fast and hard to select as a target (hitting them with the mouse cursor is a pain)
b) aircraft don't auto-attack, thus you would have to add a second hack, which makes the AA-aircraft attack on their own every enemy aircraft in guardrange

Vehicles with Flying locomotor have their own problems (which you can read about elsewhere), but they qualify for air-to-air attack capability AND they acquire targets on their own. They can even be set to circle around an area in an "air patrol" fashion.

Perhaps it would be an avenue you could pursue, if you can arrange yourself with the drawbacks.

Edit: Same goes for JJ locomotor on vehicles.

That was my mindset...using LKO's tut on making an un-landable  aircraft (slowdown distant .01) with the nice overrun missile volley weapon I created... area guard air supeority pipe dream fighter!
