Factory Cloning Vehicles
Subject description: Factory Cloning Vehicles with Ares
It almost works but the problem im having is when the veheicle finishes building, of course the normal vehicle comes out of the warfactory, but with the cloning factory it appears, then disappears for good.
In the image above I hit screen capture as soon as the building is finished and you can see the vehicle, but it dissapears like half a second later
I'm thinking it might be that the building is just too big? it's almost 5x5 except i removed cells from the corners and added extra sells infront for the factory pad i havent added yet (shpimage)
EDIT: Also when i problems like this that involve ares should i post it in the Ares section? QUICK_EDIT
OK so update i tried adding everything that i was supposed to add for warfactorys with the custom foundation and still no luck it still does the same thing when i try and buy vehicles.
how ever i did discover that when i build a flying vehicle from my warfactory, up the vehicle came from the top of the cloner so atleast flying vehicles built by the warfactory are being cloned.
it's just the regular vehicles =\
I suppose if i never get the vehicles working, atleast i'll have a cloner that has a function and can clone flying vehicles (obviously not airfield flyers just Warfactory built flyers)
But hopefully we can figure it out. but now i know that if we don't, atleast i have something that works that can be used QUICK_EDIT

A) Always generate outlines.
B) Custom foundations with warfactories will not work with this game. Your best bet is to have WeaponsFactory=no/omit the tag on them.

I made the decision to post this post knowing there was going to a chance you might come in and start yelling and get mad at me again. I'm sorry I did go through the documentation but i miss things it's a big manual. I really appreciate everyones help though thanks and please try not to be angry
I don't post very often lately anyway i don't think theres anything wrong with me posting questions
And if that's the case I guess it will be a building that just clones flying vehicles and leave it that way thanks! QUICK_EDIT

I never said only flying vehicles can be cloned. WeaponsFactory only works with the standard 5x3 foundation properly and you can get it working okayish with a custommade 4x3 foundation but that's all, other foundations break it.
WeaponsFactory is only responsible for the kick-out-from-the-centre-of-the-building overall, you just lose the dooranims pretty much by omitting it (trivia: WeaponsFactory=no actually lets you build IsTrain=yes units without losing the unit and the factory when built), thereby you can still use the building as a cloner. _________________ "If you didn't get angry and mad and frustrated, that means you don't care about the end result, and are doing something wrong." - Greg Kroah-Hartman

Yea I know you weren't saying that I just meant for my structure i'll have to leave it as a factory that only clones flying vehicles because well it's too big =]
and thanks for the train idea I do have terrain expansions and for train maps how I made trains buildable was well it was just alittle train station you build that has freeunit= set to the train QUICK_EDIT
