The Floater is one of the more unusual Tiberian lifeforms. It's appearance is akin to jellyfishes but it is unknown whether it evolved from such creatures. It floats above the surface using gas bladders and can emit high voltages of electricity as an attack. These electric bolts have the tendency to bounce off the initial target and shock anything nearby, making it deadly even when outnumbered. Like all Tiberian lifeforms, it can heal itself in Tiberium fields and is mostly seen roaming within these fields alongside Fiend packs. Initially thought to be a rather simplistic creature, Guardian beastmaster research revealed that it is as complex as any larger creature, though it is nigh impossible to tame due to it's highly aggressive nature. The least they can do is to lobotomize it and control it by manipulating it's brainwaves. This was not without controversy as many noted that this was no different to Nod's exploiting of mutants, using them as slaves and lab rats.
