Interesting design.
Is it animated? The shadow is pretty small, maybe another shadow casting section would be better.

It's a bit hard to see the actual shape, as it appears rather flat and plain colored.
I think it could use better normals and textures which accentuate more the general shape and give it smaller easily recognizable details.

At a guess, ChargeTurret with the colored "band" moving either towards the center or towards the rim of the disc would look awesome with this design.

Your blue fire animation is too flat, the perspective is wrong, either re-render at the proper angle or stretch each frame vertically 25% or so...
