I get the following error message every time I attempt to launch the Twisted Insurrection launcher:

Spoiler (click here to read it):

Twisted Insurrection has crashed. Error message:

HRESULT: [0x887A0004], Module: [SharpDX.DXGI], ApiCode:
[DXGI_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED/Unsupported], Message: Unknown

If the issue is repeatable, contact the TI staff at ppmforums.com/index.php?f=466.

The issue is very repeatable, as it happens every time I launch it. I tried running as administrator, I checked to make sure the .zip checksum is the same, I have the XNA 4.0 framework installed, the Microsoft .NET framework installed; everything seems like it should work properly. Only thing to note is that I am running this on a virtual machine off a MacBook Air because it's the only computer I have. The VM has 2.5 gb of allocated memory; I'm not sure if this contributes to it.

EDIT: I fixed the problems, I had to install extra helpers to enable Direct3D and I had to switch the compatibility to TS-DDRAW before it worked. Works (mostly) now Smile

Note that we don't officially support Macs. I don't own a Mac so it hasn't been possible to test the client on a Mac.

But try running Resources\clientxna.exe instead of running TI_Launcher.exe directly. Which OS are you running on the VM?

I am running Windows 7 Professional on the OS, so there shouldn't be a problem.

I tried running clientxna.exe and it resulted in this:
