Here is my Soviet Mammoth.
Of course at a later time I could do a Tiberian Dawn version.

I think this turned out average, but I do not think it is bad, by any means.

Thanks to LKO, looking at your Mammoth model certainly helped!

Not bad, but could be more curved. Just don't use too much polygons...

This would be perfect to male a shp and a vxl out of too.

Would probably remove the X-66 markings too as that's not something any force would generally advertise. Plus it's blocked by those reailing making it illegible in-game anyway.

nice mammoth.
Do you made yours from scratch and used mine only for scale comparison, or do you used this 3ds and simplified it to reduce the polygon count?
Textures look great as always. I love how they accentuate the edges.

Astonishing that you were able to keep the ladders with the rather limited polygon count.

it's very close, but a few details are different. Like the slightly angular cannon connectors.
I made the 3ds of my model public. See link in previous post.

I saw. They are really close indeed. I mean they are both almost identical with the exception of the head and tail lights, the alignment and shape of the tusk missile launchers and the slight protrusion of the beveled section above the main turret section but underneath what ever that is acting as a cupola/turret. Not sure if it's just a texture thing on yours but the base of the barrels have segments that allow them to be elevated where as this one does not.

Tough one to tell. Perhaps a mesh comparison. But then they could be nearly identical too and still be different.

Regardless, they are both great models with excellent textures.

Yes I made it from scratch. I modelled it from scratch because it makes unwrapping easier for me if I can control the mapping settings from primitive or shape creation.
I had your Mammoth, the Renegade Mammoth, and the blurry Westwood Mammoth blueprints for reference.

As for the ladders, the Mammoth is boxy enough that I felt it was OK to include them.

The Soviets loved large white identification markings on their tank turrets!
Of course it would not specifically be the model number, but hey its an RTS!
The railings are not ideal, but purpose is not realism in adding the marks, it is adding readability to model when viewed from the default height.

I really should add some turret roof markings (and it will help to break up the monotonous look up there).

Thanks for your comment!

ID markings are ok, but definitely not the make of the vehicle. But all good. Just an observation of something I found a tad odd.

NP, I look forward to seeing more from you.

Will you be releasing your work of is this for a mod you're developing?

Easier to check for model differences.
