I'm using the RA2 SHP Tools by pd. When I do import in SB I got blank shadow frames. I tried to paste it manually but the shadow just disappeared and I got a canvas of blue (#0).  Confused

SHP Builder tries to find the closest matching color of the palette for any pixel of the importing image.
If you have 2 so very similar blue colors for background and shadow, SHP Builder can't match them correct.

You use (RGB)
240,100,100 background
240,100,89 shadow

The game palette uses
240,100,99 background
240,100,77 shadow

obviously is your shadow closer to the ingame background, than the shadow color

To avoid color conflicts like these, most use custom palettes just for the conversion/import. e.g. create/use a palette where shadow (#1) is purple and then render stuff with purple shadows.

Solution is to correct the image or make a custom palette for import.
Attaching a unittem pal with changed shadow, use it to import in SHP
Builder.

Can you give a link to pd's tool?
