Monolith
Affiliation: Syndicate
Primary Weapon: Prism Augmented Dissintegrator Cannon
Role: Heavy Assault Platform
Cost: 1750
Speed: Slow
Strength: 1000
Sight: 8
Size: 30
Armor: Heavy Plating
Movement: Amphibious
Requirements: Machine Junction & Cabal Archives
Additional Info:
- Acquired from infiltrating an Allied Tech Bureau
- Can deploy on flat land to increase range and enable Prism Forwarding Beams.
- Immune to Omnicrushers

When Infiltrators are able to break into an Allied Research Facility and gain new insight on Allied Prism Technology the Syndicate is able to build the Monolith. Originally designated as a Troop Transport outfitted with a Disintegrator Cannon the Monolith's passenger hold was repurposed to house the components from an Allied Prism Tower to enhance the capabilities of the cannon. Utilizing the newly discovered data the Cabalists are able to augment the beams of the cannon to have additional properties as a Prism Cannons such as allowing the beams to spread on impact and when the Monolith deployed onto stable ground the same effect as Prism Towers chaining together to further strengthen the beams intensity.

I feel like the model could just be more...imposing. In 40k, the Monolith is just the centerpiece of an army, more often used for re-positioning and area denial. The weapon is a bit obscured by the side panels, maybe shortening them some would help make them more easily identifiable.

Still, aside from my criticisms I'm a huge fan of this unit and the concept behind it. The Silent King would be pleased.

I had to keep the model smaller as well so it could still fit in a 1x1 Cell. That said I did feel bad about it being forced to be smaller. The Unit is basically a more serious attempt at the common modding shenanigans of back then where people made Prism Tanks deployable into Prism Towers as well.

Why not let it deploy into 2x2 then?
This could also help balancing this unit, since there can't be that many deployed on a small area.

Yep, definitely doing this too!
Does the veterancy carry over tho?

Regarding the facing its still up for contest... which would be preferred as I have the frames ready in a template as to which facing would be best. Currently it's using Building Mode is faced North, although I can easily make it accomodate to facing to South-East (RL South)

I've already adjusted their weapons to be balanced for mid-range though and their building mode.

Veterancy carries over as long as both the Building and Unit can both gain experience.

The only other 2x2 Units I have that can deploy is the Slave Miner and the Tiger Tank (Which is 2x2) is due to it being supposed to make chokepoints.

Really nice, but how does it float?! It's too heavy because it's a building! Laughing, the reason why MCVs are slow is because of the gravitational pull that adds to the weight of the ConYard parts... But eitherway, great job on the Unit itself Wink

Similar to the other Force Miner, they use Anti-Gravity Repulsor Technology. There's actually a glass-colored dome underneath it and is also why its not just smack flat like its "Building" Version.
