In Ares 1.0, IsRadEruption=yes weapons don't obey Beam.Duration or Beam.Color, only Beam.Amplitude works. In the example screenshots, I gave both [RadBeamWeapon] and [RadEruptionWeapon] these tags:

Code:

Beam.Amplitude=1.0; almost straight line
Beam.Color=255,0,0; red
Beam.Duration=900; lasts for 1 ingame minute


Screenshot 1 has the undeployed Desolator firing RadBeamWeapon, which works with all 3 tags as expected. It's red in color, is almost a straight line, and lasts for well enough time to get many beams showing in the same shot. Shot 2 has the same Deso deploying and firing RadEruptionWeapon, which was given IsRadEruption=yes. The color stayed green, and the beams disappeared shortly after the weapon fired, just like normal. But they were all almost straight lines instead of the wavy effect of the vanilla RadBeams.
