Is there no other easy way to erase those white spots. i can't really change palette cause there are whites inside the anim itself

not really good at making anims from scratch, so will have difficulty with that.

But yeah, while converting and edting the gif, I used a transparent palette in photoshop, so i think, it was a bad idea.

Finish the shp. which is better?

such anims are not quite suitable for the old ts engine.

It looks like a portal anim, not something that floats freely. As others have said it doesn't match RA2 but I'll go further and say it doesn't match anything you could do with it in an rts...

If you want to try, perhaps make a ring of roiling clouds that feels like it has some energy and motion behind it, perhaps with a white-yellow hot ring generating the smoke upwards?

Would be very cool if it starts with a small radius and expands. -> A nice shockwave anim.

Yeah, could suffice for an shockwave but really many things to learn here, like skinning(erasing) the unwanted pixels out and making a new palette, trying fit these into anim.pal is just ruining all quality and the lack of color correction effort also is bad with the darkish black edges.
