Hey,

i tried sequencing often with mixed results. I use ShpBuilder3.36.
I would need a quick guide to an obvious process that seems to have its little problems.
Usually i select the frames specific to for example movement and copy it into the sequence but as intentional as it should be it is not and it oftentimes do not work.
Do you have any tips - there would be this T-Rex [from GOdL1k3] for example. I get this walk and fire frames when selecting them via the editor but he spins around while moving.

Walk=9,8,6
FireUp=73,6,6

so, yeah nothing works really,
help apprechiated!

Read the art.ini comments about how the sequence works.
Compare original working sequences with the matching SHP.
Understand what you see there.

There's is absolutely nothing to guide here. Just using common sense.
Monkey see, monkey do.

first number: start frame number -1
Third number: how many frames per facing on this action
Second number:just as third. It will work. Dont ask why. If you want details check comments to dig deeper

Calm, it's very simple. Don't make it over-complicated.

thank you, this will help.

Monkey saw, monkey did.

Edit:

1.Works well so far but while fighting and engaging new targets nearby he starts to glide and not walk anymore.
2. What does the S or E behind some animations mean?

N stands for 'top-right', then clockwise 45° rotation (NE right, E bottom-right, NW top, etc.), right?
