Recording RA2
Subject description: Recording YR with or without Ares doesn't work..
Whenever I launch gamemd with Ares, I'm no longer capable of recording via Game Bar.
Funnily enough, when gamemd is launched on its own (via ra2md) Win10 recognizes it as a game.
I've already tried forcing Win10 to recognize it by running the game windowed and launching game bar (so I can actually see the prompt window).
That one worked.
But when I removed the -WIN argument from RunAres.bat Game Bar no longer worked.
A) I need a fix here, possibly a registry hack. The settings are useless.
B) any recording software that actually works? I've tried everything I could find, including OBS (and all I got there was a blank black screen with sound). Haven't tried Bandicam yet, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
To be fair tho, I was getting frustrated from the get-go with many programs, trying again and again.
Maybe each recorder has its own way?
I run the game in full screen with latest ddraw (topic next to this one) and win+alt+r amazingly works for me
With or without Ares?
Without Ares is no issue.
With Ares $#/%dows 10 thinks it's a different game, and hitting win+g makes the screen go bright and dark, but I never see the "is this a game" prompt (even without Ares) outside of windowed mode (which is apparently considered a different game, again). Recording doesn't work, only screenies.
