"Anim vs Particle system" performance questions
I am thinking about baking some particle systems (mostly sparks, smoke) into animation.
Has anyone done some research which variant is more performance efficient?
For example spawning 20-30 spark particles in 3x3 cell area (used in warhead).
Is it more efficient bake it into Anim instead of particle system? QUICK_EDIT
Anims are just placed and exist for their life cycle, particles are kinda messy, they get made on every frame, if they have lighting that gets deleted and regenerated on every frame so def animations are less perf hoggy. _________________ Tiberian Dawn, Red Alert, Tiberian Sun ,Red Alert 2,Renegade, Command & Conquer 3,Tiberium and Tiberium Wars and Westwood related image & video archive
