Explosion animation made with AfterEffects.
AfterEffects can also do explosion animation.
Seems that 3D software is doing better?

frames 118 to 149 can be removed, they are empty
YellowHighExp
frames 86 to 118 can be removed

half the number of frames would work too and stress less the render engine. Explosions are usually played rather fast, why so many frames can be a problem.

The anims are a nice start. But bit more realistic smoke and debris movement would be good. Like a sense of gravity where stuff is also falling down again.
A light source matching the ingame sunlight for the smoke part would be good, so it isn't that uniform bright colored and giving the anim a bit more visual depth with smoke in the background being shadowed from the smoke in the foreground. Right now it looks a bit 2D-ish due to the uniform lighting.

A noise map giving the yellow/blue areas some more different shades of color could also help. It looks a bit too plain colored to be a convincing fire  explosion.

It also has some holes as well. Overall it looks good, I'm gonna be using the Blue one as some sort of snow bomb explosion. I recommend keeping at least one index on the palette an off-color to have less issues with the holes in rendering.
