From what I've heard is that B&W2 has lost it's charm. Creatures can't learn from what you teach them and appoint people to be breeders/craftsmen/etc, and the people see you much like (and you feel much like) an observer, not a god.. Also what I've heard is that you get some limited army controls and there are archer problems who can't shoot on top of walls, they get off the wall and fire behind it. Some have also said it's like a wazzier version of Sim City.. A friend of my brothers has it, and he says he's dissapointed in it, "It's lost it's charm", basically a step back than the old B&W than forward. There's no multiplayer either from what I'm told.

What do you think? Has Lionhead turned it's head on it's money maker?
Or is this a good game worthy of the title?

It's good, but nowhere near as good as the original. It has a few good points that would have made the original absolutely brilliant. It's worth getting, provided you can get it to work on your computer.

Never played number one, but i quickly lost interest in number two after i spent several hours building up a base, then having to start again once i had completed an objective.

And i am told that number one didnt even had armies.  Confused

No, you used your creature to gain influence and take over towns. It was much better without armies, really.

specially seeing as even creating an army puts you straight at evil, and most times they get owned anyway...

I think that B&W 1....and Fable...and everything else Peter Molyneaux has made with a massive advertising budget has sucked, but B&W 2 might be different if Zerglings fly.
