I have a suggestion regarding the voxel texture feature. Sometimes I want to keep the remap, but still apply the texture, which is impossible. Would this be a nice idea?

Hmm... that is a bug and it wasn't suposed to happen. However, you can deal with it by using the Pal Pack (Colour Scheme) thing.

I'm not sure wether you mean what I think you meant... However, I'm talking about the Tools > Colours And Normals > Voxel Texture -  tool. That way you can import a bitmap as a texture. I'm talking about a new function where you apply the texture, but do not erase the remap that is already on the voxel.

I knew you were talking about that. And that feature was never suposed to not detect remaps.

What I suggested is, while it's not fixed, use colour replacement or colour schemes tools to recolour your reds to remappable.

Actually banshee you dont get what he means. when you import a bitmap texture that contains no remap it covers up any remap on the voxel, what titan is suggesting is that there be an option to not apply the bitmap texture to places where there are Remap on the voxel already.

Or.. you could save the texture of the non-textured voxel (yes its possible), then do whatever graphic work on that bmp as youd like, keeping the remap there. And ta da. Its what you want.

Yes, but ta da, what about all of the other functions in VSEIII? Ta da, I can flip my voxel by copying and pasting all my bits in another VSE window! Ta da, I can replace all colours manually! Ta da, I can completely remake a voxel in a new window to change the size! That's what the tools are for   Wink  .

lol, i figured its not that hard, you have to make the texture anyways, it helps to have on to start from

You should rearly edit a voxel texture rather than make a blank one. But even so its not hard to modify a voxel texture taking out every colour but the remap then overlaying it onto your new voxel texture. Then u get the remaps right where they were b4.

but the point is there should be a tool to make it less bothersome, making it less bothersome encourages people to use a function.

I've been working on intercomunication between OS tools. One of the objectives is to make it easier and more reliable to edit voxel textures with OS SHP Builder.
