Storm Valley[YR][2-6]
Subject description: The calm between the storms...
This map's layout is designed to counter turtling! So, you if you turtle, RUN! RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS MAP! Haha... JK, it will stop turtling though, as there is only enough ore in your base to get a good base going, then you have to venture out for the gems by the riverside. There are also four groups of two oil derricks. A highway runs through this map, but the bridges in the middle have been destroyed, so they don't help you cross the map any.
Also, this map has a... *cough* powerful storm generator *ahem* built into it... The thunder is quite loud, so watch your ear drums! Enjoy!

When i saw the title, i thought you had re-created Storm Valley from Tiberian Sun...
Anyway, it looks like a good map, only with the storms it seems to get a little too dark. And btw, why is it temp. If it isn't completed yet, it must be in the Mapping Discussion forum, not here. QUICK_EDIT
Wait, there's a storm valley in TS? Hmm... Anyway, this map is completed, temp. means temperate as I was going to have a snowy one. Have you played it or just looked at the screens? It actually doesn't get that dark. In game it gives it a nice clouded over, stormy feel. _________________ They will run in fear!

Omega Bolt: Have you played it yet? It looks fine in game. I didn't like the way the clouds seem to just materialize out of thin air, strike, then fade into the ether. And, putting a standing cloud is taxing on your system slowing it down, and blocking your view of the battlefield. I mean, it's a game, it can't be perfect...
Crash-King: I felt that being that I wanted to incorporate the power of nature into this map, I felt that the best approach was to place the setting in the expanse of a valley, not much around. A beautiful valley with a nice river running through it, some trees around, a highway to make it known that there is civilization around, somewhere... Okay, so maybe with YR's theaters I wasn't able to capture a beautiful valley.
This map is supposed to just add the nice visual and audio ambiances of the raw power of mother nature raining down on you. Between you and me, I was going to make the bolts actually damage units. But, I decided that it would not bode well with the design of the map. _________________ They will run in fear!
