O NOES! Mah allieds r attaking meh!
Subject description: DAYMN! I studied English all my life in order to have such a spelling? Lord...
Well, don't get biased against me for that horrible title...
The problem is that in my map I have 2 allieds:
(It's a pseudo-training map, with a story...yes it's SP)
·Controller House: The controller and his units will guide you during this computer-aided exercice against the French AI enemy...
·Civilian House: The normal and common civs...
Problem Detail:
·The Controller house will attack you without mercy with his units and Grand Cannons, but you can't attack him because you are his allied...which results in this:
Yes! My starting units are totally getting owned by my own friend...I can't even get out of my own base!
·My units automaticly attack every single civ unit they can find...leading in some troubles with civilian armor that the operator left for you to capture... a. k. a. : my units will engage some Rhinos I left...leading to the ridiculous death of my dumb Grizzlies...
Things I know that you should know I know:
I know how to give myself allied through the House window in FA2:YR.
It should be a problem of how I wrote the house names in the Allies box. I mean, the commas and that...
You propably forgot to put the player's side as the ally of "the controller" from the Houses box in FA. Go to Edit > Houses > Selected side: The Controller > Allies: The Controller, Player
That's what happened to me with TS long time ago. _________________
if worse comes to worse you could just make a set of triggers that fire right at the beginning telling the 2 teams to ally with each other. I believe I had to do that once because setting the allies in the other thing wasn't working for me for some reason but only between 2 sides.
As for your units attacking neutrals...your IQ of your own sides AI is probably set to 5 or something. Set the IQ down to 0 and you shouldn't have that problem. I think it's called the IQ...haven't gotten time to ztype around in any of my SP maps in a LONG time so I can't say for certain. _________________ Kalistia Crestland (2)
