If you had looked at the dates of the last posts, you would have noticed there hasn't been any activity from the mods' creator for about 2 years. Also, I talked to him a while ago and he said he doesn't work on it anymore, because he was too frustrated with the limitations of the TS engine.

But yeah, I'm also a fan of BattleTech, maybe I'll make something similar Wink

At the time he abandoned the mod, Ares was nowhere near where it is now.
Besides, I mainly asked him about the state of the mod because I wanted to make sure we don't suddenly end up with two Battletech mods #Tongue

I would prefer if the mod was a MechCommander-like tactical mod. Except with actual use of infantry (not just elementals), air units, and on-field artillery units.

If only TS/RA2 supported multiple WFs that can produce different units.

I don't see it as an impediment...

Kennel hack got "fixed" for Ares.
But a replacement feature has been requested Wink

@gufu: nah, MC1 and 2 are fine as they are IMO, I'd rather want to see a BattleTech-themed RTS. And unless someone makes those pesky Elemental shps, there won't be any... hm... unless someone manages to rip and convert the graphics from MechCommander, of course...
