I tested the newest version of VSE III 1.39.04

This is the result.
I used:

WMware:
Ubuntu 9.04 w/ wine
Intel Core i7

The latest VXLSE III 1.39.04 still uses the old 3D view code and I'm very surprised that it actually showed something decent in Wine (a friend of mine had worse problems with that wine + VXLSE III 3D View).

The new 3D view code will be initialy used in a new feature called Free View.

Sort of the way you can view things in 3dsmax/gmax?

Errr.. no. Free View because you'll be able to view any kind of model in the same window, with the option of viewing the model that you are currently editing.

I wouldn't rearly call it a bug if it doesn't work perfect through an emulator. OS Tools were designed for windows.

Anyway, the problem I could see is a z-buffer problem (which makes the last frames look weird, because some polygons in the back are rendered instead of some closer faces that were supposed to be rendered). But that's not a bug in VXLSE III's code itself. Who deals with Z-Buffer is Open GL.

Your right. It does look like some faces at some angles for some odd reason get put in the wrong order. Sorta like if CULL_FACE was switched between GL_FRONT and GL_BACK while its spinning.

But as you said there isn't rearly anything that can be done as the app is rendering it coorectly (Code wise anyway). The Wine Drivers on the other hand may be screwing up.
