I have heard many feedback about the building style seeming weird and unrealistic, so I decided it needs a thread for opinions and steps for improvement.

The main reason is that redoing buildups is not as easy as it sounds; it would be logical to gather enough info to avoid having to fix again.

So far for improvements I have:

-Try to avoid making the new parts "scale larger", just have them come from the base at normal size.

Now please give any further suggestions, and alternative methods would be nice. If you really are eager, then give tell which structures have the worst buildups, and which have the best: this will be a great guide when I start the fixing process.

Rather than having everything rise out of the object below it, make things like pipes and wiring ducts 'snake' out of the object and then further around the outside.
Better yet, look at the RA2 or TS buildups in slow motion, and try to replicate some of the more dynamic movements from them.

Another thing as well, it might be much better to apply the texture to the buildup once it is complete and perform a classic cnc buildup with a plain grey texture.
