This is a map that I think is needed in RA3; a 6 player map that can go either 3v3 or ffa. Mag is getting kinda old. Sure, this map is very symmetrical, but it's a change. Anyways I based it loosely off of a map by the same name in SupCom. Same basic shape, but this one isn't nealy as epic in scale. It's only 600x600, if I am feeling ambitious I might make a 750x750 one, with another layer of cliffs....

I like it because each base is highly defendable and has a decent amount of cash that you don't fight over- so one person doesn't always take an early lead. Two biggest problems IMO is the tengu rush and naval artillery can hit the bases.

UPDATE: After alot of testing and editing, I have decided that the old version was not really done, and I have made some changes.
1)I figured out how to align buildings to the grid, so all placed buildings now align.
2)I moved all ore nodes that were initially out of range of the conyard so that you have immediate access to two nodes
3)I replaced 1 ore node per island with an oil derrick. This stops it from being too much of an eco boom while providing a steady flow of income late game.
4)numerous little touch ups in regard to terrain
5)because tengu rushing was such a huge problem and made empire rediculously good on this map, all players get starting units. The Japanese and the Allies each get 3 Guardian tanks while the soviets get three hammer tanks. I did not give the Japanese Tsunami tanks because they are amphibious and would have only made the Japanese rushes better.
6)The title of the map is now called "Crossfire Canal by DaFool'

well, some people over at the C&C forums were complaining about the water, so I made another version. Here are the changes:

Increased the hieght of the map
Increaded water level of the map (now 190)
Enabled Reflections
Japanese players now start of with Tsunamis instead of Guardians
All players get a small prebuilt base that includes:
-2 power plants
-2 refineries
-1 barracks
The starting bases are dependant on the faction of the player, so each faction gets it's own buildings.
