Hi!
I'm making a new mod for Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour called "Red Alert: Generals of Tiberium", but there are some things that I can't do.

Now I'm creating the 3D models of the units and the buildings, but I don't know how to map models. Anybody knows how to do it? And which files I have to use for textures, .TGA or .DDS ?

I guess you mean texturing models. Anyways, you need an PNG so you can apply the skins on your units in your 3D program, and you need an DDS so the game can use them.

I added also the image in my signature. Very Happy

I didn't texturize with Unwrap UVW, but with UVW Map
I hope there isn't any problem! Smile

If we have a tutorial here that solves the person's problem, then link it here. We don't have a tutorial about making textures, so linking an external one is no crime, Dutchy.

How can I convert .TGA files (or other image formats) in .DDS?

No need for big complicated programs, DDS Converter should do what you need, and more. It's a small and compact software which is bound to be useful.

Meh, I had troubles with that one. As I have PS, I prefer the PS Plugin.

I don't use Photoshop, but Paint Shop pro 7.
I've downloaded DDS Coverter (It's a nice program!).
Thank you again!

I checked and XCC Mixer can covert a .dds to .tga, but not the other way around

I have another question:
I did the model of a buggy, a transport truck and the GDI Barrack. How can I use those models to make new units or buildings (with INI Files)?

P.S.: Is there a particle editor that is not the Generals ZH one?

I have the Generals ZH All Stars Mod and I made a new model of the Nod buggy (Tiberian coalition), but the model doesn't show.

I named all the parts of my buggy (Chassis, Wheels, turret, ...) as the corresponding of the All Stars Mod one. Anybody can help me, please?
