Upgrading.
Okay.. A question.
you've played as USA, and remember those powerplants.. know how when you get the control rods,, that part pops up?
well.. I have some buildings that need to be upgraded before you can construct certain units, -like in RA3 Empire of the rising sun- Well.. i want it to physically upgrade.. like the control rods,, for example, the Barracks start out as a one story building, then. a second floor is added making it two stories. or something along that... is it possible? For my Empire of the Rising Sun method, I just had a commandset switch. The prerequisites were met the whole time, there just wasn't a button for them. Potentially you can use this method and if you'd like, have that same upgrade change the model.
I am almost 100% positive units can't have upgrades as their prerequisite, from what I've seen only strucutures and sciences. I am not sure if there is an module that will allow you to grant sciences, but you can have an upgrade which replaces your barracks with a new one. This new one can simply be the prerequisite for your new units. Just make sure that basic infantry that only need the first barracks to be built have no prerequisites. _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT
