Subject description: Just some cameos...

OK, I decided to try my hand on cameo making, something I'm not that good at. Here are the cameos ingame. I took the RA3 style for reference. Tell me if they are good or bad (cuz I don't think they are that good :/).

They look good before, but the incosistancy of the backgrounds ingames ruins the uniformality of them and makes them look bad together. Also not helping is the white outline in some and the lack of it in others (beagle vs the helicopter).

Guess I'm gonna have to use large stroke size. Any way to keep the cameos looking as good as before they are turned into shps and improve them?

If your gonna use that style at least don't appy the SHP Builder glass effect... and make your own palette.

But either way they need spicing up IMO.

Ares is the anwser(custom palette for cameos), and use VKs PNG to SHP to get a palette

I'm still using Npatch and the PNG to SHP tool won't work :/ Any other ideas?

Well a palette can easily be made to accommodate all three faction cameos. The example below is my Incursion cameos with the palette applied.

Also just convert the cameos with SHP Builder of make them PCX and use XCC Mixer.
