A contest open to any and all to create a .shp building model for either C&C1, RA, TS, RA2, or YR.
Starting DATE: October 16th, 2010
Due Date: December 19th, 2010
(60)days should be appropriate for this) but subject to change if necessary.
Rules
(1) 1 submission per person
(2) Submission should include all .shp files, you may include the source file as well .max, .obj, .3ds, etc, Rules and art ini codes, and a ingame screenshot.
(3) Model must be of a structure only "Faction or Civilian", can be a base defense if you prefer..
(4) Submissions must be entered by December 19th, 2010, or possibly an extended date, granted there are not enough submissions.
(5) Model is preferred to be original work by the author, but will accept c/p structures as long as they are NOT anything like an original building.
(6)Submissions should be sent to ALL (3) Judges via PM
Judges
Aro, DutchyGamer, and Anderwin will be the three judges.
There will be a total of 100 possible points:
Originality: up to 25 points
Functionality: up to 25 points
Cohesion: up to 25 points
Aesthetics: up to 25 points
Lets get busy and give the Community some well deserved buildings.

Yeah, I'm working on my entry. Its still early in the comp. Have till 19th of December. I think dats has his almost done, and I know of a few more that are working on entries as well. QUICK_EDIT
Just letting everyone involved know there's only a little over 3 weeks left to get your buildings done.
So far I have all the modeling done, buildup is done, texturing is done, still need to do the active anims, damage frames, and snow frames. Then I'll be done QUICK_EDIT
Only 1 entry so far? Come on guys, lets get some more enties in. Remember it dosent have to be 3d models, you can make c/p structures too. And it's for a wide varity of the c&c games. C&C95 thru YR.

"Custom Rank" will not be issued by Banshee unless thier is a sufficient amount of entries. I am also going to include (2) pre paid Visa cards in the amounts of 20.00 and 10.00 US Dollars. Not much, but all I can afford right now. I am also going to extend this comp to 19th of January 2011. There will now also be 2 winners, 1st place will get "pending Participation" A Custom Rank from Banshee and a 20.00 pre paid visa, 2nd place will recieve a 10.00 pre paid visa. So now hopefully this will draw some more attention into this competition. Start Building guys. _________________

I'm working as fast as I can to convert DaTS' structure, but honestly if there is only one other entry then I'm not sure that the effort is really worthwhile - and I haven't heard from DaTS in a while, last I heard he was facing some kind of final exams. QUICK_EDIT
I'm not sure Joshy. I know Dutchy still is, and Aro still is as far as I know. But I havent heard or seen Anderwin in quite sometime now. _________________

If only I had the imagination left to create something for this contest. Heck, the only things I've been modeling nowadays is pre-existing structures or remakes. Well, we might as well just go ahead and cancel this then. 2 entries arent even worth the time to bother with it. There's only a couple of days left till the deadline. I'll leave it go until the 19th, after that, if there arent more than 2 entries then it's over. _________________

If you can find a judge to fulfil my position, I'll enter too.
Problem with that is, you've already seen my entry. So that gives you the advantage on knowing what it will take to beat mine. Which would put you one step ahead of me. With all due respect, I just dont think it would be fair. _________________
