PPM: 3 years old!
The title of this news post is certainly not a joke! PPM is 3 years old . Unfortunatelly, after 3 years we are still far from releasing the mod, although many progress was done. Everything started on september 30th in SE2k forums where TS posted a topic asking if everyone could work together in a perfect mod with everyone's idea. Of course, the mod will never be perfect, as we cannot reach God perfection with our skills and the TS engine , but we are still working on it. Many people joined, left, splitted the mod, made the hell, but we are still working on it . From the september 30th from last year to the one in this year, we mainly redesigned our concepts with buildings, which certainly delayed it a lot. Instead of poor graphics with photoshop, we are designing them with 3d programs like GMAX and few others and it's not easily to learn all the 3d concepts so fast when you have a lot of things to do, like working in a site like this one, forums, graphics, researchs, other projects and real life with (in my case) a university bugging you... or two(!!)...But we are still doing our job. We won't take long to have PPM screenshots, but we ask you to be patient, because really good screenshots are not ones where one new unit or building appears while many other images used as placeholders appears. September was not a good month for the PPM:FD due to several events, but we are getting over it recently... so I am a little bit more optimistic for october. That's it and happy birthday, PPM .
It's cool, that PPM still exists, but working 4 years on a mod still seems a bit much to me, especially if you've got a team.. but sometimes, a team only slows things down, i know that for a fact. QUICK_EDIT
if the public knew how much enjoyment weve had working on this thing you would understand, its more than just 'a mod' now. its a total adventure. And DVD, you said we have a team.. well... PPM basically had two teammembers, me and banshee. Ya terror does osme stuff everyonce in a while and TS reapears for a bout a month every year but me and bansh are basically the only ones.. well HAPPY BORTHDAY TO US QUICK_EDIT
