I know it's an old topic so here's a new one to refresh it and give the newer members a chance.

What is your favorite C&C soundtrack?

You wouldn't believe this but my favorite is the TS Intro music because of all the nostalgia with it. And if I created a music album titled "The Best of Command & Conquer," these would be the songs which some of you wouldn't really agree with.

1. Act On Instinct <--Every REAL C&C fan knows this.
2. Drill
3. Mechanical Man
4. Warfare
5. Hell March <--Every REAL C&C fan likes this.
6. Crush
7. Radio 2
8. Vector
9. Tiberian Sun Intro
10. Valves <--Heard it so many times, it's not half bad.
11. Lone Trooper
12. Hacker
13. Link Up
14. Slave To The System <--Great song to play when you send out a tough unit.
15. Blow It Up
16. Hell March 2
17. Motorized <--Some kind of nostalgia
18. Brain Freeze

Dates from TD, RA1, TS, RA2, the best ones.

Mechanical Man is awesome - It's got a distinctly Kraftwerk vibe.

I love Kraftwerk. Classic music at it's finest. Very Happy

My favorite C&C tracks are Grinder (RA2), Brain Freeze (YR), Deceiver (YR), Drill (TD), Act on Instinct (TD), Hell March (RA1), Hell March II (RA2) and Valves (TS).

Anything from Red Alert for sure. I like some of the RA2 stuff though...

Kraftwerk sucks.

For some reason I like Depth Charge very much. I had been familiar with the first C&C and Red Alert for some time (but not Covert Ops) when I first got that song from CnC World downloads section (as a part of the Sole Survivor soundtrack). The track names were all wrong there for some reason, and I had to do some additional research to find the right song titles, but Depth Charge impressed me very much right from the beginning.

I also love Voice Rhythm, a very beautiful song.

Other than that, since my tastes don't seem to have changed so much, I'll repost my favourites list right from a similar thread in C&C Communications Center (only adding Jarrid Mendelson's TS tracks, as that thread was dedicated to Frank Klepacki's music):

C&C: Mechanical Man (a.k.a. Target), Industrial, Deception (a.k.a. We Will Stop Them), No Mercy, Enemies to Be Feared, Radio, Reaching Out, Airstrike
Covert Ops: Depth Charge, Voice Rhythm, Drill, Creeping Upon, C&C 80's Mix
RA: Radio 2, Crush, Fogger, Trenches, Workmen, Face the Enemy 1, Surf No Mercy, Run, Terminate, Big Foot, Reload Fire, Militant Force
Counterstrike: Voice Rhythm 2, Radio 2 Remix, Arazoid, Underlying Thoughts, Backstab, Journey
Aftermath: Bog, The Search, Traction, Groundwire, Gloom
Sole Survivor: HM Remix
TS: Nod Crush, Valves, Mad Rap, map selection screen theme, Dusk Hour, The Defense, Pharotek, Heroism, Lone Trooper, Gloom 2
Firestorm: Slave to the System, Elusive, Link Up
RA2: HM2, Power, Eagle Hunter, 200 Meters, Grinder, In Deep, Motorized, C&C In The House
YR: Brain Freeze, Trance L Vania, Drok, Bully Kit

It's almost like picking a favourite child. It's always hard doing stuff like this, so I've just taken four from each game. Otherwise, virtually every RA song and half the TS and TD songs would be on this list.
TD
Just Do It Up
No Mercy
Act on Instinct
Warfare/Full Stop

RA
Hell March
Workmen
Vector
Face The Enemy 2

TS
Killing Machine
Nod Crush
Pharotek
Mutants

RA2
Trance L Vania
Fortification
Deceiver
Jank

I can't really remember much of the soundtrack in the other C&C games. Renegade had Stomp (but of course that was written for TS initially) but I can't remember what else I liked. Also, EBFD had the excellent Failure is not an Option, although that doesn't fall under the umbrella of C&C music (or even Frank Klepacki music).

If I check my 'times played' list, I make up this:
Link Up (TS) - 198x
Hacker (TS) - 180x
Mutants (TS) - 160x
Nod Crush (TS) - 157x
Mad Rap (TS) - 151x
Gloom 2 (TS) - 143x

The first non-TS song is Stomp from Renegade, which is a scrapped TS song from what I know. It's used in some trailer for TS iirc.

Short said: I love TS music #Tongue Although most C&C music is ranked pretty high in my playlists. This includes Generals/ZH, TW, and TT (C&C4).

Those are in no order of importance, for the sake of the list. And yeah, the list is gonna be big. There is certainly a reason why FK is one of my favorite composers.

Command & Conquer
Target/Mechanical Man
Radio
Prepare for Battle
No Mercy (And Remix)
Just Do It (Both versions)
In Trouble
Full Stop
Demolition
C&C Thang
Airstrike
Act on Instinct
Nod Score Theme
Great Shot
Untamed Lands
Reload Fire
Iron Fist

Red Alert
Big Foot (THIS, is where Red Alert starts for me)
Hell March (And Remix)
Twin Cannon (Especially Remix)
Terminate
Smash
Radio 2 (And Remix)
Militant Force (Score Theme)
Fogger
Dense
Crush (Especially Remix)
Shut It
Journey
Chaos
Wasteland
Groundwire
Bog
Whatever that one Jazz song was. No, not the hidden one used for Ant's theme.

Dune 2000
Under Construction
Atreides Gain
Robotix
Rise of the Harkonnen
Harkonnen Battle
Fight for Power
Attack on Arrakis

Tiberian Sun
Scouting
Heroism
Mutants
Flurry
Dusk Hour
Valves
Score Theme
Nod Crush (What, expected GDI themes only?)
Killing Machine
Map Theme
Red Sky
Slave to the System
Link Up
Infiltrate
Hacker

Red Alert 2
Grinder
Hell March 2
Probing
Power
Motorized
Jank
Fortification
Destroy
Burn
Blow it Up
Tension
Brain Freeze
Drok
Score Theme (OF COURSE!)
Trance L Vania
Bully Kit

Emperor Battle for Dune
Entire Harkonnen Soundtrack (Certainly summed up the brutality of Westwood's Harks)
Entire Ordos Soundtrack (So, was I playing the game, or was I tripping balls due to the music. Not an option gets extra points.)
Assembling the Troops
The War Begins
Ride The Worm
Battle of the Atreides
Fremen Aliance

Renegade
Got a Present for Ya
Mechanical Man Revenge
Sakura Showdown
Renegade Jungle
Menu Theme
On Your Feet
Packing Iron
Stomp
Sniper
Great Shot Remix
Stop Them Again
In the Line of fire (Remix)
Industrial Ambient
Move it
Dogfight
Fight Win Prevail (Remix)
Command and Conquer
Ammo Clip
Beach
Sneak Attack

Generals
Main Theme (US1?)

Tiberium Wars
Mechanical Mind

Red Alert 3
Hell March 3
Grinder 2
Nuclear Death
All Combat Themes (Allied one is best, made me buy the game, basically)
Credit's Theme
Victory Theme
New York Theme
Uprising Combat Themes.

I like the USA Themes from Generals, and A lot of the Nod themes from TS. Pharotek is my all time favorite. Smile

Stomp uses a variation of the theme in Nod Crush. Interestingly, another Renegade track, Packing Iron, uses the theme from The Defense, originally a Jarrid Mendelson track (according to FK's site).

Never noticed that. Might pay attention to those when I listen to them the next time.

Speaking of C&C... does anybody have album art for Cov Ops and Counterstrike? Hell if I can find any.
