Tiberian Sun: Revelations
Tiberian Sun: Revelations
For a long time I have wanted to release a mod that I can call my own, a mod with new units and a comprehensive campaign for both sides. Over the past few months I have been working on my personal Mod, Tiberian Sun: Revelations, and have been grooming it for a public announcement. That day has come. First of all, I would like to thank LordCesare, who has agreed to help me with creating a gritty and intriguing campaign. LordCesare has recently been making fantastic fan campaigns for Twisted Insurrection which I encourage you all to check out. This mod does make use of public assets which will be credited accordingly. Each side will receive powerful new infantry, units, suoerweapons, with which provide diverse game play opportunities. The Skirmish AI has been significantly tweaked, making it far intelligent and far more deadly. This mod also uses the ETS engine which have allowed for the inclusion of several features that were missing from the vanilla Tiberian Sun game.
Now, without further a due I present Tiberian Sun Revelations.
(Note: This mod does not acknowledge the story line of Tiberium Wars)
Tiberian Sun: Revelations Storyline
Brave New World:
Ten years have passed since the events of Firestorm and fate of the world is uncertain. Nod despite being severely weakened by the Crisis has managed to hold on to some semblance of organization but for the third time in History, the Brotherhood disappeared under ground. GDI has maintained a careful vigil, knowing that with leadership, there was every possibility the Brotherhood would rise again.
Peace however was welcome and allowed for GDI to focus on other issues it was facing. The Tacitus had given GDI the means to begin cleaning up and reducing Tiberium poisoning across the planet. Modifications made to the existing Sonic technology meant GDI could start clearing vast areas of Tiberium growth, creating desolate, but habitable wastelands which were being re-settled for the first time in decades. Codenamed Project: New Eden, GDI set about reclaiming massive tracts of land across Europe, Australia and the former United States.
New Eden however, was however meeting stiff resistance from what was a surprisingly resilient, but under-represented group. Tiberium poisoning had reached critical point. The global population at this point stood at approximately 1.2 billion, with almost 64% of that living in newly the classed "Yellow Zones". Decades of existing in impoverished conditions, without access to basic sanitation and healthcare had led to mass mutation of yellow zones peoples. Almost 80% of the affected population were suffering from Tiberium mutation of some form, with a further 40% of that, completely dependent on Tiberium in order to live. For Project: New Eden to succeed, almost 250 million mutants would have to be sacrificed.
GDI was faced with a humanitarian crisis of never before seen proportions. They were tasked with an impossible decision; risk the lives of millions to save the surviving human population? Or allow for Tiberium poisoning to continue consuming the planet. Massive relocation efforts were put into effect, with those with chronic Tiberium poisoning, being sent to “Reservations”, deeper and deeper within the Yellow and eventually Red Zones of the world. Growing unrest within the mutant population began to polarise against GDI and tensions were beginning to run higher every day.
The Rising:
For a long time, all Intel on the Brotherhood and their leader Anton Slavic were sketchy. Rumours of infighting had begun to perpetuate until one day, GDI was shocked to discover the crucified body of Slavic, hanging outside the GDI Bureau in Washington. Carved into the chest of Slavic's faceless and mutilated corpse, were the words "SETH HAS RISEN".
Rumours had indeed been correct, although temporarily united after the Firestorm Crisis; the Brotherhood had once again fallen into disarray. Disagreements over the direction the Brotherhood should take had risen to boiling point. Slavic, leader of the Black Hand and Seth, the self-appointed leader of the “Confessors”, had begun to wage an underground war over the future of Nod. Slavic believed that the Brotherhood should lie in quiet, awaiting the return of the Messiah, while Seth believed that it was their duty to fulfil Kane’s dream in his absence.
Support for Slavic begun to slip away as Nod warlords and generals began to rally under Seth, who promised that the Brotherhood’s time was at hand. Stockpiling forbidden technology, Seth was soon able to challenge Slavic’s forces openly, until finally, he laid siege to the Black Hand headquarters in the Brazilian Red Zone. Killed while trying to flee, Slavic’s body was recovered from the wreckage of a de-railed train which was intercepted by Seth’s air forces. At this, the Black Hand forcibly brought into line with Seth, a terrifying new figure, assumed command of the Brotherhood. He immediately set his sights on GDI, the heretics had gotten away with far too much, and decisive action was needed. Seth knew that GDI’s weakness was Project: New Eden, he knew of the rebellion that brewed within the mutant population, he knew that now was the time to strike back.
In the name of Kane.

I really want to keep fighter jets in the mix, I think i will rename it however. The list is at this stage, not final. _________________ Beta Tester for Mental Omega 3.0
Never been a fan of that scorpion crawler, it's far too big and silly IMO. The rest looks pretty cool though, this should be a nice old school mod. QUICK_EDIT

I gave it because I wanted to give nod a super unit and if it's good enough for TI it's good enough for me. _________________ Beta Tester for Mental Omega 3.0

TI's is a crate goodie so it appears very rarely, and even so, Lin Kuei said he'll modify it to match TI standards one day. Keep up the good work, by the way. QUICK_EDIT

Hey I was wondering if somebody would be willing to create a new options screen for me? It doesnt have to be anything fancy it's just I don't have Photoshop or any other programmes necessary and I was wondering if anybody with some spare time could assist. I was hoping for something with this in the background http://www.wallchan.com/images/sandbox/3690-apocalypse-city-cityscape.jpg _________________ Beta Tester for Mental Omega 3.0
You mean a new menu? I could help with that. Do you need a TS/FS selection screen? What resolution do you want? (I could make it higher resolution, something like 1024x768 or stick to the original) What is the mods colour scheme? QUICK_EDIT

I was hoping for a new Firestorm Screen. I dont want any to fancy and was hoping for an orange scheme. Was just gonna have an 800x600 size? Is that Okay? _________________ Beta Tester for Mental Omega 3.0
Sounds like an interesting setup for the story / campaign. Also good use of public assets, especially that fat little GDI walker looks lovely and blends in with other GDI stuff. Looking forward to more info / pics.
About ETS, does it work without any bugs or side-effects? Why is it shunned by the community so much? Never looked into it myself, based on what people have been saying on these boards. _________________ QUICK_EDIT

Honestly, I'm not sure. The only real issue I've had is that I cannot for the life of me get other super weapons like the meteor storm, upgrade or mass heal working. I have however gotten the GPS and supply weapons working which is good, that and the AA combat tag.
@Omega. I wpuld like the options for New Campaign, Load Mission, Lan, Internet, Serial, Skirmish and finally Options. If those could be included that would be fantastic! _________________ Beta Tester for Mental Omega 3.0

New Trees
I am now using the Red Alert 2 trees as I never found the Tiberian Sun ones that impressive. (Note the rock in the upper left hand corner has been removed)

No, I mean the TS/FS selection screen. What options do you need there? Have you let the game bypass the screen completely, or do you need one which simply takes you to the menu?
And I suggest leaving out serial as who the hell uses that these days? QUICK_EDIT

I am proud to say that the campaign is now under way. Lord Cesare is working hard to bring you all a comprehensive and campaign with a compelling story. At the moment the Nod Campaign has been fleshed out and all missions have been conceptualized for the Brotherhood. It will have ten missions, taking the player from the blasted wastelands of the Former People's republic of China, to the Desert Savannah's of South Africa, to the Souther Cross airbases in New Zealand. _________________ Beta Tester for Mental Omega 3.0

this is the first mission
while Nod fight against Fist Of Nod and The Legion of CABAL, GDI control the situation... and they will partecipate this fight if someone want to leave the area... _________________

Bittah Commander ah yeah it is sorry I'll add you to the credit list.
Adding the GDI observers was a nice touch. But perhaps add a little more detail to the GDI border ya know some light posts etc. _________________ Beta Tester for Mental Omega 3.0
Since the Ghoststalkers would annihilate the walkers and light posts in front I don't think it'd be wise to put them there. Maybe move the light posts to the side and put the walkers behind the sandbags. QUICK_EDIT

Ghost Stalker no longer uses a railgun, those are for GDI only. He has a laser cannon instead. The units you are seeing are GDI Marines, they armed with an anti-infantry rifle and low yield C4 charges . That border looks cool btw and I love the scheme you have chosen for the other nod faction! _________________ Beta Tester for Mental Omega 3.0

Gah I'm sorry about iamn00b that, it was a tad insensitive of me and I dont want to come across as some ignorant twat. I have nothing against Islam or any religion for that fact (except for the one Church of the Nazarene which is situated right next to my house, whose parishioners park in my driveway, blocking me in and wake me up at 6AM every other Sunday with poor renditions of what I imagine to be popular Christian Rock songs. Just because you own an electric guitar doesn't mean you should play it). It sounds chicle, but I have a lot of good friends who are Muslim actually, they are international students from Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates, Micky and Knife and they are wicked fun. But, for my stupid comment I apologize . Anyway back on topic, well this mod uses freeware too, all you have to do is add the files it to your TS directory, its set up like an old school mod, like Retro. =) _________________ Beta Tester for Mental Omega 3.0

A public request
Hey guys, I was wondering if anybody had a few spare civilian buildings which they would like to donate, full credit would be afforded of course. I'm currently figuring out how to make my own SHP buildings but progress is very slow. Lord Cesare is specifically requesting some urban buildings for cities. Anybody who is willing to donate please PM me. Thanks in advance. _________________ Beta Tester for Mental Omega 3.0

I've taken all the civilian buildings that I can find on this forum and on Tiberium Web so far. This mod cuurently has no home at the moment and I was wondering who I talk to about starting a forum in pre-alpha projects because this thread is going to get cluttered very fast _________________ Beta Tester for Mental Omega 3.0
